No, I remember Duke here in LA. I think Fisher signed this guy as UDFA because I remember him returning punts during preseason and making a couple of good catches.....maybe i'm dreaming!
You’re thinking of Nick Miller. Returned a punt vs Arizona in 2014.

wow Reynolds just can't stay healthy
I will have to watch the game replay but I don't recall a ball hitting Reynolds in the hands on Sunday! Jeez can we get a WR #4 that is ready to play and can stay healthy?

You’d think we could get a Welker WALK ON type, no?

The Rams are we team you want to play for. Get the would out and let’s get a stud from the street.

Laugh if you want but they’re out there.

Sean McVay: 'There's a chance' WR Nick Williams will play Sunday
By: Cameron DaSilva

On Thursday, Sean McVay shared some insight on Williams and his chances of playing against San Francisco.

“I think there’s a chance he will be (active),” McVay said. “Really with Nick, really smart football player. Can do a lot of the different things, specifically that we ask that slot role that Cooper Kupp has played for us. I just think any time that you get a chance to acquire a guy that – he’s played football. You look at what he did in Tennessee this preseason and the regular season. He’s put good stuff on tape.”

Williams isn’t coming in completely blind, either. He spent the early parts of this season with the Titans where former Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur is leading the offense. That’s not to say it’s the same scheme, but there’s at least some carryover.

More importantly, Williams was in Washington when McVay was there, so the two are familiar with each other.

“He’s got a little bit of familiarity in terms of some of the verbiage so that it’ll be a quick study,” McVay added. “That’s really why we brought him in here. Got him in here yesterday. I know he’s going to do everything in his power to get himself up to speed as quickly as possible. I think there’s a chance that he will be part of that game on Sunday.”

It’ll be interesting to see how the Rams handle their 46-man gameday roster and whether Williams will be active, or if he’ll be sat down in favor of a player at a different position.

I have to think he'll play this weekend. He's not a legit starter, but he's better than what we have on our depth chart. Letting guys who have underwhelmed "have their shot" sounds great and all from the fan side of the conversation, but when it's your job to win games that's a dicey proposition sometimes. So yeah I expect him to play and make up for the fact that our depth wideouts haven't done too much to push for playing time.

That would be wild if Nick Williams is activated and plays.

McVay has his hands full making up for the loss of Cooper Kupp. At this point I don't know what direction McVay will go. Everett has been seeing more action while Higbee is blocking has been very good. The Rams offense is run with the 11 personnel. We may see some 12 personnel but, I would be surprised if it is a lot. Reynolds is going to play outside so maybe Williams gets some PT in the slot allowing Woods to go outside. Stay tuned.

Damn...there’s no way you would keep me out of this opportunity.

Reynolds is a #4 guy on this team, but has a chance to audition himself for 31 other teams to get a decent contract as maybe a #2 guy in a year.

He has McVay scheming plays. Gurley, Woods and Cooks taking the teams best defenders away.

He can work his ass off and really have a shot at a good couple of weeks, against competition he should be able to beat. He has a chance to put some good film out there and get attention with some good stats....

That’s the difference between being done after your rookie deal and getting a second contract somewhere...

But I guess his hand hurts.
