OMG....The Radio and TV version time frame together, ran for 23 years....lol. And they were in heavy syndication until the 90's!You know you feel young when you have no idea what people are talking about with this crazy Gunsmoke show. Cue the blank stare.
I've felt old when describing tv series which were so popular that I figured even youngsters today would know such great shows. Like "WKRP in Cincinnati," "Cheers," "Taxi," and others. All I get are blank stares from them when mentioned...
You know your old when kids don't know about the hilarious Turkey Drop in 1978 (WKRP in Cincinnati)Off topic, but I am exposing old favorite shows to my kids while we're all shuttered. The ones you mention here are on that list, along with countless others. I have to say, some of these classics just don't hold up well. I won't name the worst performers, but the surprising poor performer was M*A*S*H, with the surprising thumbs ups being Brady Bunch and Frazier.
I guess this isn't off topic: You know you're old when you watch one of your favorite shows from your youth, and all the actors are dead.

You are so young, you were confused as to why they removed Steve from Blues Clues! That must be why. I was born in 1991. The oldest show I grew up on was the original Scooby-Doo.
