Like the land under Carson.I hear their location situation is somewhat fluid.

I've been thinking about it. At least one. I am in a fortunate capital gains situation as well. That said I can get around $8 to $10 K per month off vacation rentals which make for good cash flow and tax write-offs. Can't buy much worth giving up what I have for under $2 mm.
I've been through a few probates and executor-ships and the worst part is how divisive money can get among family members. It's really sad and I hope their relationship is repairable.
We might work something out if you bring the Rams with you. lol
$10000 a month!? Makes my $800 on my rental house look sad. It has a Mississippi river view. From the wrong side of the river.
Well, this has been a reality crashing time. I'll have the makings if a good blues tune here in a minute.
It's pretty nice here,,,
unless your thirsty.
Bring the lyrics to my studio and well record it. I'll supply the lead/rhythm guitars, a boogie-woogie style blues piano and backing vocals if you want to sing. If you play an instrument, I'm totally open to that. We can negotiate the back-end for you and we'll share publishing under my label.$10000 a month!? Makes my $800 on my rental house look sad. now you made me wanna just smack you in the back of the head, but I'm not going to because that wouldn't be civil.Honestly we need to stop with a lot of the farming, that's where most of the water is going to, and they don't contribute as much to the economy as income taxes of those living in the urban areas.
Cali's GDP is ag. What the state need to do is build desalinization plants off the central coast to supply water to the farmers in the San Joaquin valley only. Then the existing water sources get diverted past the farms and delivered to the residents.Honestly we need to stop with a lot of the farming, that's where most of the water is going to, and they don't contribute as much to the economy as income taxes of those living in the urban areas.
land prices in California are ridiculous
Sell those houses and retire early my friend!

According to California law the house passed to my brother(who is also a Rams fan) and me because there is no common law marriage.
Although I never got along with my mom's boyfriend(he's a 49ers fan ), he took care of her when she was sick and is now 89 and living in that house, I couldn't bring myself to boot him out and sell. My attorney thinks I'm an idiot because the house is worth a lot but there are some things more important than money.
My parents bought the house brand new in 1963 and it sits in a really nice neighborhood not far from Los Gatos, Ca. and 45 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. When/if he passes on I will move back and put the house into probate. But yeah, housing prices out there are indeed ridiculous.
Or he can come up to Cumberland, MD and do it for free on my modest 8-track Zoom R-8, after which we can transfer it to FL Studio on the pc for mixing and mastering. Plus blues guitar is my specialty. Don't have a label though so we'll have to negotiate with you for that.

Solve the rising seas level concerns, the fresh water float which is changing the fish migrations due to the fresh water effect on up-welling. All the while creating enough salt to put Morton and Bonneville out of business.
I had a bad mom / boyfriend experience and I can tell you honestly, that I wouldn't have been as kind to him as you are being to the 89 year old guy. Unless my Mom instructed it you are showing true compassion. I mean, dudes a whiners fan.
I don't want to imply I'm without compassion, but my mom's BF was a total jerk and hit her. I almost knocked him off once but the OC sheriff did it for me. (mom was a sheriff)
The Zoom is a great piece of hardware. It's amazing how good the technology and sound is on those machines and similar.
Typically I track on a PC (Reaper, Logic, Sonar ) and transfer everything back to 2" tape when possible. Either that or I mix on the PC then the songs go out for pro mastering. ie: we're working on setting up our current project with Bernie Grundman (Tom Petty) for mastering.
You and my buddy Kip would get along great. His specialty is also blues guitar. I'm always to happy to feel the blues but Clapton, Page, Santana and Blackmore are who people say I remind them of.
That's exactly what happened. I found out he had been hitting her and I confronted him with a threat. The day I moved to Maryland he told me he was glad to see me gone. Well duh. My mom never complained about him after that and he cried all day during and after the funeral. We talk on the phone now and then and the conversations are cordial, except a couple of times when he suggested I should pay his bills since he's now living in my house. WTH?
I recently downloaded Reaper but have yet to try it out or pay for it. FL Studio has occasional glitches because I'm using an old pc with not enough Ram.
I gave my son my Boss 16-track along with a keyboard, bass, various mics, a Lexicon reverb unit, and various other stuff for his wedding present four years ago. I bought the Zoom because I missed playing with faders and don't care for using a mouse during recording.
Jeff Beck and Ritchie Blackmore are my two favorite guitarists but I always end up sounding more like a mere shadow of Buddy Guy or Stevie Ray Vaughn.
*Sorry for the thread hijack guys.*

BTW, how can there be a wrong side to a river? Except if you are at the end or in the way.
If you were closer we could plug in and let our axe's do some talking.
I'm starting to get ok on the bass guitar. Just takes me forever to get a song down.

We definitely went off the rails although your reference to random access memory qualifies right? lol
Buddy and Stevie are 2 of the greats. Nice to be similar to them. If you were closer we could plug in and let our axe's do some talking.
You really are a kind soul under the circumstances regarding your mom's room mate. After my mom called me at work from the hospital I grabbed my Louisville slugger and went to pay him a visit. 2 black and whites were parked out front and as I approached the door, a rather large sheriff (resembling Craig Stadler the golfer) was standing with his back to her front door outside. He took my bat away and told me in no uncertain terms to hightail it out of there. As I reluctantly did what he told me too, I heard glass breaking in the house. When I got to my car I realized what was happening. We never saw that BF dude again.
GO RAMS !!
My son and my brother live in N. Hollywood and I might still end up back in San Jose one day, so one never knows. Besides, these days with the technology available, we can always trade files on Reaper. Bought my son, who's also a musician, FL Studio recently so we've planning to do just that. Either way keep on rocking.
Bought a new bass guitar recently. I used to do all the bass parts on the keyboard but missed the actually feel and sound of a real bass. I know what you mean about having to go over and over it until it sounds right, best of luck to you.
Btw in case neither of you have seen this thread, maybe we should move this conversation over to the thread below before I get scolded for setting a bad example.

Thanks bro. Long time ago but I'll never forget how mad I was.Sorry to hear of those troubles. Esp the abuse, that must be tough. I can't imagine what that must be like.
2 things to remember, 1) Less is more (the space between the notes are equally important as the notes) , and 2) da masses are dumbasses (when it comes to music). No offense to the audience but they just want a good grove (beat) and a hooky melody or style. Great point about the importance of tone too. It's funny, the influences you guys are talking about? I like their bass players. My favorite has to be John McVie. Both the bluesman with Mayall and Green, and the pop star with Buckingham. Great tone, him and Fleetwood just kill it every time.
I like Roger Waters too. To an average player like me, he shows how a well placed note is more important to the song than a fast flurry of show off stuff.
