I just realized scanning the UDFA list:

1. There are Zero UDFA wide receivers. It seems that never happens. The Rams seem to always have 2-3 UDFA candidates.

True but the Rams did sign four WRs from last year's Practice Squad to futures contracts back in January ... Brennan Presley, Tru Edwards, Tyler Scott and Mario Williams. So there are ten WRs currently on the roster.

I know. I forgot some of their names, and didn't bother looking them up to list them since they are all such long shots, (You never know!)

The only reason I listed the new TE UDFA's is because they have not yet had their chance to make the roster.

To be fair, 80 and 85 are retired, 81 should be retired, other than 84, 88, and 89 all other numbers in the 80’s are ugly and should only be given to players you plan on cutting.

Agree, as I said WRs have always had numbers in teens and even 20's. Ahmad Rasah was another #28. I guess the diff now is single digit numbers and sine defensive numbers being typical. Back in the day I remember LB Brad Van Pelt wearing #10. So not sure what the rules were then.

Ab, Charlie Taylor. One of my non-Ram favs growing up. Watched him as the record breaking WR on the skins but had a huge poster of him from his RB days (a little before my time) wearing that old skins’ helmet with the spear on it.

Quick question:
Did you remember all of those numbers off the top of your head? If so, impressive.

Follow up question:
Do you tend to park in the same general area when you go to the store because it’s easier to remember?

I watched the ‘51 Rams championship game against the Browns recently on YouTube. There was some pretty wild numbers in that game. The Cleveland quarterback wore #60.

Fun fact, Van Pelt wore #10 as a Giant because he was the back up kicker as a rookie

Agree. Some of us old guys just like walking-down Memory Lane. Sometimes, we get lost.

Remembered they all had numbers that were not in the 80s but needed to look-up about half.

Otto Graham ... NFL's 1st GOAT ... won 7 Championships in his 10-year career (four in the AAFC).

AAFC competed with the NFL in the late 1940's. Browns, Colts and 49ers joined the NFL when it folded.
