Like I said here how bad was Bienemy in the interview that he didn't get this job over that? My main thought though is the NFL needs to change the rules. Either everybody can get a HC job during the playoffs or nobody can. I think that's one of the biggest things against Bienemy even over his off field past. We'll all talk about how the most important thing with a first time coach is the staff he can put together. Well not only can he not assemble a staff right now but all the other new coaches are taking the best of the best so why would an owner wait another week to hire EB when this guy can assemble his staff right now? It's a messed up system.

Well, that and the Houston ownership has had some issues with racist statements in the past and are apparently very "white evangelical" and not in a "let me tell you about Jesus" kind of way, but "let me shove Jesus down your throat and tell you why Jesus made me rich" kind of way...

So it doesn't surprise me what's going on in Houston. At all.

I'm more surprised that more players haven't revolted like that defense did in Jacksonville...

There were people who where very mad at him after the first few games especially the first halves of those games.

Yeah, I wasn't buying the hype that we'd be awesome from the jump with no preseason and a new system, but felt we'd get on quick and be better than before and we were.

I mean, obviously that's not me, but that's exactly how I give presentations. It's not been a career limiting defect so far, but I was told it would be going forward. This guy must be the Bruce Lee of coaching plans of he got that job with those presentation skills. Or the owners/FO are wildly incompetent.

When my car broke down with my son in the car, before cell phones, I would give him a similar "we are going on an adventure" speech. This reminds me of telling my son everything is going to alright, but, I'm actually crapping my pants wondering about the repair costs, the tow truck and how far we are going to have to walk to find a pay phone and how the hell am I getting to work now with my car in the shop. This guy looks like me 25 years ago.

Yeah it's garbage. And I wonder what would happen though if they made everyone wait until after the Super Bowl. Or if they even could do that. Guys would still stack their new staffs on handshakes.

So how about adding a week to the schedule upon completion of the season. Players rest. Coaches and teams sort their shit. And if you don't pull the trigger in that week you wait til after the Super Bowl.
