Over the last 7 games the defense has given up 10 more points per game. Take away the two Cardinals games where they have no offense and its worse. Is that gonna affect Shula's chances?

Well, its not always about the results, its about the vision a guy has.
Look at McVay in Washington, they missed the playoffs in 2016 by losing 2 of their last 3 games because the offense only scored 10 & 15 points
Body of work gets the interview, the interview gets the job

I wonder if the history of McVay DCs might affect Shula's prospects. Staley got canned after failing with the San Diego* Chargers, and now Raheem got canned with the Falcons.

Stud corner thru FA or Draft? My wish is FA and draft another one in R1/R2. Also - I’d like to see a sideline to sideline ILB to pair with Landman. Add another run plugger DT later in the draft then lock and load.

Caleb Banks is a DT i see mocked to us a lot. Him rotating with Ford would be amazing.

Sorry I was replying to Merlin‘s post:

I don't think Shula's ready. I'd like to see him get another year with a stud corner added too.

…but didn’t show the linking:

Congrats on making 503's list.

Staley made the playoffs in year two but he went for it on 4th down too much (which is basically now the norm), among other mistakes. Morris was the victim of impatience. The Falcons were 39-60 the 6 years previous to his hiring. He was 1 game under .500 each season. Two years? Come on!!! The problem may be, "When I hire one of his guys, I want some of that McVay magic. He made the postseason in years 1 and 2!!!" (Imagine the Ram fan who says, "I spend good money being a Ram fan. They owe me" )

He started the kid QB too soon. And gave Cousins the knife to shank him in the back.

Seems like Smith is out of patience. All his previous shit hires built a sort of momentum that worked against Raheem too.
