Heavenly Father, we come before you with heavy hearts, seeking your guidance and strength. As RamsFanOH goes into surgery, may Your calming presence be felt in every heartbeat and breath. Surround him with angels and guide the hands of the medical team, so that he may come out healthier and stronger. Amen.
Amen.

The"good news" is that there is absolutely nothing for you to do except ride it out. It's all in the surgeons' hands now. And these guys know what they are doing. Worrying won't help a darn thing. So try to stay as optimistic as you can, take some deep breaths, lean on your support folks, and look forward to regaining consciousness with them saying they were successful. ROD is with ya!

Hey man, I noticed you are still awake and reading ROD, so I thought I'd post some optimistic info about the success rate of open heart triple bypass surgery. The medical world is "good at this type of surgery"... very high success rate with very low risk of complications.

Recovery will take awhile... but it sounds like there's a great chance that after you recover you'll be SO glad you did this!!!!

So get some sleep and have good dreams about our Rams! :D:helmet:(y)

"Triple bypass heart surgery, or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), has a high success rate, with many patients experiencing significant relief of symptoms and improved quality of life. Overall success rates are typically above 90%, with some studies reporting nearly 98%.

Here's a more detailed look at the success and outcomes:
  • High Success Rates:
CABG procedures are generally considered successful, with a high percentage of patients experiencing positive outcomes"

Positive thoughts and prayers heading your way. Modern medicine does amazing things these days. Get through it and we'll be here on the flip side. Cheers.
