Give ME a boom or bust running back who is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for a Super Bowl Championship and has some other JAG years. I'll use a 1st Rounder on THAT. And anyways, you are severely under playing Barkley's TRUE impact. Like I said, If he was an Eagle instead of a Giant from 2018 they might have that 2022 Championship that they came within a hair of winning, or maybe some other.
You think Saquon Barkley was directly responsible for the Eagles winning the SB? Good lord

Bennett is not, nor will ever be in the conversation for next Rams Quarterback.
You conveniently left out "or whomever the Rams next QB will be".
The point is, the Rams next QB will likely not be as good as Stafford, meaning Love would be that much more appreciated (and necessary).

I’m going to stay with the “all in” strategy. To me that means what player(s) can be added this year to the Rams roster via the draft that will contribute to their success this year. IMO that means WR2A, DT (depth for run stoppage), and LB/CB (for slot coverage).

Kyren's great but not a home-run hitter like this guy is. Doesn't anybody remember what Saquon Barkley did to us in 2024 Regular Season AND Playoffs??? Multiple 60+ yard runs, 200 yard games. That only happens with the physical freak type running back like this guy is. And no, to the running back is devalued crowd, if you replaced Barkley with Kyren at Philly running back you would not have the same multiple 60 yard runs and the put away touchdown in the divisional round playoff game. Bottom line is, Love can give us a Faulk element that we only had for one year with Gurley.

Heck, look what happened WITH Barkley once their OL couldn’t block and teams figured out how to close the gaps (stupid of Philly to not change all season last year).

But absolutely, having a home run hitter makes a solid passing game that much more dangerous and unlike Hurts, Stafford will annihilate you if you go heavy in the box to stop a home run hitter like Love or whoever…there’s that other back who ran a 4.33 at 221 pounds and some are saying will be better.

And this past year was Barkley's EIGHTH SEASON! I dont care about Love in his eighth season if he's a BEAST that wins us a Super Bowl or two in his first 7. We would have Love for his "young pup" years, which is what's important for running backs.
Worth the trade up IMO.

Obviously that defense had something to say about it, but they don’t beat us without Saquon
Of course, and yes he was directly responsible for them winning the Super Bowl. If anyone wants to go look up stats. Over 2,000 yards from scrimmage during the season and then 3 total stud playoff games. I know you agree with this Mack, not meant for you.

Love stands out in this draft. To the point where, if he slides enough, the Rams will probably at least attempt to move up and take him.

I agree we had a good RB room last season, but one of the problems with our RBs in general is McVay's preference for the smaller shifty types. Love's more of a Gurley type back, with that 6' frame and extra gear when he hits a seam in that front. Nothing against our backs, but they're simply not good enough to make me say "guess I'm gonna pass on Love" if he's within striking range.

Problem for the Rams is they don't have the pieces to make the deal happen if Love slides far enough up top. And I want to keep that round 3 pick. So I don't think it's likely to happen or anything, however if we end up on draft night sitting at 8 and everyone's talking about how Love is still on the board I'm gonna fire up a fatty because you never know with the Rams. And that's one thing I love about them.

He's going to go well before 8 in my opinion, and I feel, yes, the Rams still do have a shot at him.

LOL. Faulk had more receiving yards in his final year in college than Love had in his entire career at Notre Dame. Christian McCaffrey is like Marshall Faulk. (Not quite as good, but very similar.) You could see that in college. Love has not displayed that sort of ability to date. He is a good receiving HB. He's not an all-time-great receiving HB.

So good his first 5 years that Indy traded him.
