So the actual cap hits for the Rams and Garrett

I'm happy and hopeful.I get the concern man. We all like Verse and who knows where he'll go from here. but Myles just had the single best sack season ever. He's only 30. And he did that on a pretty bad team with no offense. Imagine him on this team, with not only this DL, but the improved secondary. And most nights he'll be playing with a lead. He could easily do it again, if not even better. Hell, he might get AD to come out of retirement!! Kidding but we can dream
Garrett I think mostly had his hand in the ground and will now probably be rushing from an upright stance though there will be a mixture. I don't see him rushing upright as that big a deal. In either case, he won't be dropping back from OLB but Verse didn't do that much either from what I remember. Young is the OLB that will mix and match rush and drop back as it's been in the past.My biggest question is probably coming from Ignorence of Browns host of coaching- scheme changes .
Garrett played a 4\3 edge- DE. Byron Young is a 3/4 OLB. Rams run a 3/4 defense.
Does Garrett have experience as OLB or are the Rams switching a 4/3 or
some sort of hybrid. I know the Rams have it all figured out.
Can someone tell me has Garrett played OLB in the past or is he capable?
Or are the Rams making a change.
Browns taking 2 below-mid Quarterbacks (Gabriel + Sanders) in the SAME Draft, is the epitome of stupidity.I mean… it’s not fun, but yeah, I want him to do well. I am also glad he’s going to a winning franchise. He’s a fun player to watch and will be on any team and any field. I’m glad they traded him out of the AFC but unfortunately I agree, too much incompetence in Cleveland. If Stefanski goes down to Atlanta and does well, I wouldn’t be surprised. Anyways, still Myles has several prime years left.
And everyone has their own opinion so I’m not gonna let your challenge slip by without a response. I do believe Verse has all the tools to be a superstar. Is he at the level of Garrett right now ? Obviously not. But he’s two years into the NFL with a Defensive Rookie of the year and two Pro Bowl appearances in his coffers and that trajectory simply can’t be diminished. So that’s my take and it’s simply not changing because you differ in your assessment.Up and coming Superstar???
Nah, I'm not gonna allow that without challenge. He's still a wait-and-see case in my mind as far as SUPER star goes. Star? Maybe.
Board? Thoughts?

Haven't seen this discussed. Glad you brought it up. After this season, Verse is eligible for an extension.I think the Rams have a spreadsheet and they constantly project where the money goes. Verse might have been someone they see getting a big contract so might as well pay Garrett while the rookie QB contract covers some years.
Schwarz lined him up all over the place and he was very effective. My biggest question is probably coming from Ignorence of Browns host of coaching- scheme changes .
