Verse a very fine player. But ya gotta give-to-get. Bet Verse takes the place of an additional 1st Rounder we would of had to give.

Yeah, even when Garrett starts to decline, he's going to be putting up better pass rush numbers than Verse. Going to miss the guy though. Sucks he's going to the Browns of all places.

Yep, it explains the Simpson pick and "the Stafford & all in plan". Dint need to c8llect high picks for a QB because they believe Simpson can be the successor.

Yeah, definitely a win now mode initiated. I mostly get it but I wanted to see what Verse could do. Maybe they see more in Josiah Stewart going forward. If Garrett stays healthy and performs for at least another 3 years it'll be worth it. If not we got rid of a bit of future comfort.

I feel terrible for Verse though. It's a business and it's brutal sometimes. Dude comes in and has basically been the face of the defense since AD left. Is a fan favorite and seems to genuinely love it here and suddenly gets shipped to Siberia. I guess good news is that the Browns do have a top 10 defense so he should be able to still build his resume and score a big contract if he wants somewhere else.

Also, so much for McVay's first 1st round pick as a head coach lol.

Who TF cares. He'll go there, be productive, get a rich extension. Not like we traded a "Legacy Ram" here.

I wonder if his personality wasn't a great fit. The constant talking etc... Not that's why they did it, but I always thought his personality differed from the rest of the team, an outlier.
