I'm in FULL agreement that that 13th pick just about HAS TO be spent at Wide Receiver. Just about.
Maybe. Just take BPA.

Question, if the WR you take is the next Robert Woods do you still take him if it means you pass on the next Zach Martin? Meaning Ioane turns out to be Zach Martin.

Just throwing that out there since no one wants a OG, even if the OG is a perennial All Pro.

No you don't. The wide receiver taken at 13 must be a top 2 Rams WR for at least 5 years. This decision obviously falls on the front office. My statement is more of an "all things being equal" kind of thing.

I am not a draftnik, so I don't have any specific players to suggest except Love, but I wouldn't lock in on WR. From what I hear there are a lot of them to be had later rounds. The D could use some more on the front 7. If there is another player at 13 that can have a verse type impact, that might be a better more efficient move. I am just saying, I don't care what position they take, I just want the type of impact we got with Verse with that high of a pick.

I think Lemon is a hell of a football player and will be excellent in the NFL. Full stop.

I just don't know that he's the type of WR I want to add to a room with Puka... and I'm nervous about spending a pick that high on a WR who's not big and not a burner. I feel like you find guys like him later in the draft.. I mean.. look at Amon Ra, Puka and even Kupp.

I wouldn't complain if they drafted him, because I think he's a baller. I just don't know if I believe he'd be worth the #13 pick value.
I'm good with him at 13. The way he plays reminds me of a smaller Puka. If he can get his hands on the ball he's making that catch.

All I did was give information without expecting anything in return. I don't believe I deserve to be shit on in multiple threads for that.
Let's not play the victim here, the reports were in regards to his interviews being aloof, you added "serious character concerns" and proceeded to compare him to Pearce, Blackmon and Addison
Being "weird" isnt the same as being capable of engaging in criminal activity...

It's not just Wittmore. If it was just Wittmore speaking about the scouts from four teams that have taken him off the board, I'd question him, too. Breiden Fehoko, a former NFL player, also said the same thing: that Lemon bombed his in-person interviews at the Combine, seemingly purposely tanking his stock, and that he - quote, "questioned the guidance Lemon received" - end quote. Even Todd McShay acknowledged it, whilst saying it shouldn't affect his draft stock because again - quote, "Fifty percent of receivers are weird", end quote.

As for what Wittmore is saying now, is that the talent is undeniable, the Rams are really interested, and that Lemon has been on a "personality rehab tour". What I got could've very well been misinformation, but I could only go on what was reported, and I saw more than one person saying these things about this particular prospect.

Again, for yet another time, I am literally nothing more than the messenger who saw multiple people say things about Lemon the prospect, what risks there were or were not, and I still said that if he were taken by the Rams, if this isn't a smokescreen, I'd trust their scouting department and player development over anyone else because I know they'll have done their homework.

All I did was give information without expecting anything in return. I don't believe I deserve to be shit on in multiple threads for that.
If you are truly interested in “just being the messenger” as you say, perhaps you shouldn’t take comments related to those messages so personally? After all, it’s not your “message”.

Additionally, if your purpose is to “just be the messenger” perhaps you should leave out your own comments such as “serious character concern”, no?

Yes. As we continue to lose our minds here in this final stretch before the draft, the fact remains we're best served taking the best player on the board. And of course that's always the best option. Just no telling how it's gonna fall.

I was kind of shocked by how good Ioane is. He's a wall in pass pro. Not a great mover, but we're not that massive outside zone team any more so I think he's a strong fit for us. Also does anyone think the Rams are going to pay all 5 OL? I don't. After this season everyone but Jackson is a FA.

Problem with Ioane is he's probably good enough to put Avila's ass on the bench as a rookie. Which actually is not a problem. Avila could be our swing interior dude off the bench, since he's a natural at Center as well. :laugh3:

Again - as I’ve stated numerous times; I really don’t know how many more times I have to reiterate it over and over and over again - I compared him to those players in the regard that their interviews were also poor and they had no criminal record at the time of their interviews. I never said Lemon was going to be a criminal. Ever. Full stop. If I actually believed that, I would’ve never said I would be fully on board with Lemon as the pick, were it made.

“Character concerns” don’t mean criminal activity; it can be something as simple as affecting team chemistry like a Terrell Owens being an absolute diva or a Ricky Williams loving weed more than football. Not illegal, not even necessarily immoral, but something about the person that affects the team they’re on.

All I did was share the information I had gotten from the sources I mentioned. I did it because any information about a prospect we’re potentially taking is valuable before draft day. I did not ask to be mocked on numerous threads, with my words twisted into a satirical slander of what they were posted as. I don’t feel I deserve that; I’ve been here long enough for all of you know full well that I don’t go out of my way to be an asshole to y’all.

Now, if I worded anything wrong in the original message, I’m fucking sorry. I apologize. Whatever words of contrition I have, I’ll say them here and mean them. Now if you’ll fucking move on with your online lives and stop with what you’re doing over an honest mistake at worst, I’d really, really appreciate it. Capiche?

I thought WR at 13 makes most sense. But the more I look at full draft mocks and do mock drafts, the one spot that has multiple guys I like and prefer when we draft in 2nd and 3rd rounds is WR. Hmmmmm
