The way they handled the Jaguars was impressive though, and I think it really showcased their talent on defense and special teams even if or maybe because the Jaguars did make Mahomes look like a rookie.
Did anyone mention the turnover on downs? I have to give their defense credit, even though it really is the same old same Chiefs to me, give up a ton of yards and just hang in there defensively until you see an opportunity, but it’s not sustainable without that offense keeping them off the field. How many times did they give up the field to stop the Jaguars at the goal line with limited space for routes?
I do hope they destroy the Patriots though, I don’t think Holmgren is arrogant, but his players can still get cocky.
The Rams victory was more impressive. With two of their top wide receivers out, Talib out and Peters looking very fallible, we got into a shootout with our division rivals who obviously planned a revenge game. Officiating was ... meh I’m not one for that, but we’ll just say that the pantheons of football were defied by McVay this Sunday to what wrath we should expect to see who can say?
It really was great to see Barron back just in the nick of time, and leading the team in tackles? But it’s obvious that we want the team healthy before the playoffs, especially the secondary.
