What's crazy is that the following could happen:

Rams win out

Vikings lose to Seattle then beat the Lions, Chargers, Packers and Bears and finish 12-4
Packers win 3 of last 4 beating the Redskins, Bears and Lions and finish 12-4
Niners win 2 (Falcons and Seahawks) and finish 12-4
Seahawks win 3 (Panthers, Vikings, Cardinals) and finish 12-4

In this scenario, the 11-5 Rams would miss the playoffs.
That doesn’t even seem that unlikely.
Dat Steelers loss doh.....

If we win out and finish 11-5, there is about a 90% chance we make the playoffs. If we finish 10-6, there is about a 25% we make the playoffs if Seattle beats Minn tonight.

Keep an eye on SF - believe it or not, they could be the odd man out, given a brutal stretch here to finish the year. They have:

@ NO
Falcons
Rams
@ SEA

An 11-5 finish is not unreasonable for them.

Unless someone tells me I've got this wrong (probable) I'm supporting the Vikings tonight.

They win and Seahawks are 9-3.
I'm the relying on Saints beating the 49ers in New Orleans on Sunday (my expectation) to put the 49ers 10-3.

We win out to finish 11-5 meaning the Seahawks and 49ers are both 4-loss teams going to wk 17 where they play one another meaning at best one finishes 12-4 and the other 11-5.

If the Seahawks beat the 49ers then San Fran have lost to them twice and us once giving us the tiebreaker of only 2 division losses.

What have I blatantly missed?

Nothing - one of many scenarios. Vikings lose tonight and they are 8-4 though, with tough games against the Packers and @ Chargers. It feels more in reach.

Rams should worry nothing about anything other than finishing 11-5. Will almost guarantee a playoff spot.

If we finish 10-6, virtually the only way in is if the Vikings also finish 10-6. Looking at the finality, we'd likely get in over them on record against common opponent since they've lost to the Bears. A MIN loss to the Seahawks could help clinch this.

That could happen. But if 9ers win that game Seattle gets the tie breaker over us. There is a route to a wildcard berth no matter who wins tonight, but there are more routes if the Seahawks win.

The playoffs are a very long shot , it’s not our year ... love to finish with a double figure season winning record which we can do if we show the commitment we did yesterday.

I'll set my alarm for midnight and check the final score . No way I can watch it play by play and enjoy it . If the Vikes do win tonight the Rams need the Hags and Whiners to be within 1 game of each other for week 17. If the Rams can handle their own business they may need that game to mean something.

I just need 2 TDs from Cousins. I don’t care who wins. This win shall cement my FF playoffs
Goff and Kupp sealed my FF playoffs for me thankfully. I feel your pain, but the Seahawk win puts us in the best position, so I have to bend over and take this one.

Side note. When my son and I were at the Rams/Hawks game earlier this year, you could hear a pin drop as GZ lined up for what everyone there knew was the winning FG. After his inexplicable miss, it was very strange walking back to the car. The fans weren't happy as much as they were stunned. It's like they knew it never should have happened.

Bad mojo I tell you. Everyone could feel it. It's like we spawned a new timeline. Man in the High Castle kind of deal.

Weird take.

Well on top of the struggles with the OLine , I don't want to feel like they got ripped off too by overpaying.

The Ramsey trade was supposed to improve this team and be the missing piece. So Snead expected to be giving the Jags two picks in the mid 20's, not the mid teens.

MNF game is now over, of course. Minnesota loses--which I still think was the best scenario for us. Hard-fought game but I sure hope McVay and staff and entire organization has something in mind to find a way to beat Seattle b/c it ain't gonna be easy. The team is much better now than when we last played them. And Russell Wilson is still phenomenal whether you love to hate him or not. Me--I love the competition; it's what makes football and all team sports fun. And I love the rivalry. Go Rams!
