Totally Understand! But, I think the only way the Rams make the playoffs is for the Vikings to lose (I think the last NFC Playoff Spot will be either the Vikings or the Rams).
Yep, if they both finish with 5 losses, Rams likely win the tie breaker since they have lost 2 AFC games and Vikings only one.
Now they do have the Chargers coming up. If they lose that and they end up tied with two AFC losses then it comes down to record vs common opponents.
The common opponents are:
Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle
For this to even matter the Vikes have to lose to Seattle while the Rams have to beat Dallas and Seattle.
Also the Rams beat the Bears and the Vikes lost to the Bears already.
So they both beat Atlanta & Dallas.
Rams beat the Bears and will go 1-1 vs Seattle. So 4-1.
Vikes lose to Seattle and goes at best 1-1 vs Bears. Thus 3-2.
Thus that Bears win by the Rams and that Seattle loss by the Vikes, would be the difference.
Unless they only count the games played at the same location (home or away). Like the Rams & Vikes at Seattle and the Bears at LA & at Minn. Not sure about that.
