This was a no.1 overall pick that literally almost no one stuck to their guns and said you know what... I'm not going to let 7 games in a rookie season with a subpar coaching staff and supporting cast define a QB's entire career... I believe in what I saw pre-draft and that this guy can still be a good QB in this league.
i watch nfl live alot and louis has been upset about the group think on goff all this preseason and season. has always said goff's only problem was jeff fisher and his coaching staff, plus zero help at oline and wr last season.
The media group think is the problem. These guys all kind of form it together based on knee jerk reactions to highlights. That's right, highlights. I seriously doubt most of them actually watched Jared's rookie season. They might have seen one game here or there but none of them do their homework on offseason changes to personnel, the coaching staff, etc. So they just fall into that trusting deal where they feed off the loudest voice, which is often a guy like Meshawn who himself isn't actually doing his homework. They see the highlights of Jared going down under a heavy rush or lookin goofy with someone knocking the ball out, or the way Fisher allowed him to be character assassinated in the locker room and on Hard Knocks, and it backs up what they're hearing.
And even worse is the FACT that the best QBs in the history of this league rarely show anything year one. Many didn't show anything year two. It's asinine man. Not one of these media experts outside of maybe Michael Silver or a couple other select guys even has enough grasp of the position to know they need to tell their peers to slow their roll.
This year I've actually seen a couple do that, but it's probably because so many of them look like tards based on their Goff analysis from last year. It's crazy man, just seems like in this clickbait age we live in everything is all about instant processing and so often it's out in left field as a result.
