I wonder how the Vikings feel about their investment in cousins?

How much is Rodgers being paid? What's the Packers record? Wonder how Packer fans feel about their continued investment in Rodgers. Who by the way has won one games against a team with a winning record, well, the last time was the the last game of the season in 2016, the Lions. Was he really worth the $134 million, 4 year extension? Have you heard any talking heads even mention it?

Nope.

I'm not sure he was making a comparison though. I have always thought of Cousins as a between the 20s, fade in pressure QB. I was one thinking it was a bad idea to give him that kind of a contract and also thought the Skins didn't give him a big offer because of that very reason. I suppose we'll see how it pays off.

Realistically, Goff has to prove that as well. But he's younger and time will only tell on that. I do think he's showed less of a tendency to get rattled but I also will admit that I haven't paid near as much attention to Cousins except that I tend to only watch his teams in big games and I have never liked what I saw in him.

The packers were concerned. That's why they fired that lug they had as a hc. They need a hc that can get him going again as he has been very average the last couple of years.

Since the Carroll- Wilson era began in SEA they've always benefited from the zebras. On top of the countless bs things they've always gotten away with like taunting, pass interference, holding here are some big ones.
-Failmary
-Harvin once stepped out on a long TD and even after reviewing the play the TD stood. I think it was vs BUF
-In primetime vs DET Johnson fumbles in the endzone and a SEA defender basically swats the ball out of the endzone in front of a ref, no flag
-The FG block tonight.
There are probably more.

Al Riveron admits Bobby Wagner blocked field goal should have been flagged
Posted by Michael David Smith

A pivotal moment in the Seahawks’ win over the Vikings on Monday night came when Seattle’s Bobby Wagner blocked a field goal with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. One official threw a flag, but after a conference, the referees announced that there was no penalty.

Today NFL V.P. of Officiating Al Riveron admitted that there should have been a penalty. In his weekly video, Riveron showed the play and said that Wagner should have been flagged.

“In this case, this is a foul,” Riveron said. “He’s gonna put both hands on a teammate and he’s going to use his teammates to leverage himself to get to the other side. If you use your teammates and/or an opponent to help you to get to the other side to help you block a kick, that is a foul.”

Riveron did not explain why the officials ended up not enforcing a penalty, but the umpire who threw the flag reportedly flagged Wagner for a different but related penalty, against jumping over the line from depth. Another official overruled the umpire, saying Wagner was on the line of scrimmage when he jumped, making it legal in that respect, and none of the officials noticed that Wagner put his hands on teammates to leverage himself.

If the penalty had been called, the Vikings would have had first-and-10 at the Seahawks’ 14-yard line, where they very well might have scored a touchdown and taken a 7-6 lead with just a few minutes remaining in the game. It was a costly no-call for Minnesota, and a fortunate bad call for Seattle.

It definitely should have been called!

Cousins is what Goff is not: just a competent passer who was a product of McVay’s offense.

Part of me wouldn't mind the Vikings playoff chances taking a hit, sorry Raptorman, and part of me want the Seahawks taken down a notch by somebody other than us. I will end up watching this game and probably just rooting for bad play I guess :D

Rodgers reputation and head have grown so big that any incoming coach has a higher chance of failure than success. How does a new coach take charge of Rodgers, and Rodgers' team? With that QB anything but the playoffs will be deemed not good enough, despite the real problem being the lack of talent at other positions.

Maybe in a year or two, if they aren't on the upswing, Green Bay will try to cash in on Rodgers and land a bunch of draft picks in a trade.
