By refusing to run the ball, McVay not only makes it harder on Stafford but also makes it more likely that he gets hurt. He will not last the season if he keeps taking shots like he did tonight.
Stafford was put in an absurd situation by his hc. The defense's premium pass rusher was breathing down his neck every down and got to him multiple times. What coach makes his qb have to go though this the whole 2nd half? Do something to make it stop so your qb can function. He was already off his game before this non stop pressure.
Some of the most frustrating losses come when the D plays well. Holding the Bengals to 19 points is something to be proud of. Rams win this game pretty easily if Kupp plays. His loss cannot be understated. He's like the #1 and #2 WR for the Rams. The rest are 3, 4, and 5.
Take my advice and don't watch it, I had to turn it off late in the third. This was by far the worst they played this season, regardless of the final score.

As always... my hope for us is that we have an offensive staff that can pull McVay back from these type of games...games where his play calling and schemes seem to be away from things like running the ball and using some formation variety.... this game shows we aren't there yet. This team is far better than most thought. But our head coach has to put us in positions to win and yesterday he didn't do that.
