Agreed. I liked Goff too but as a Ram fan and football fan if after 2 games you can’t see how much better Stafford navigates the pocket along with his big play ability vs Goff than you really don’t know football.
Stafford is a better QB and has more talent. But we all loved Goff and he's not a "bad" QB. And after 2018 and the MIN & KC games of absolute perfection, then the NO game in the NFCC - its hard not to believe he would continue that trajectory of growth. Thats why he got the contract extension. But the shitty reality is those games were outliers. And he's always capable of playing like that but not consistently. The 40TDs that Gurley had in '17/'18 was the driving force to the offenses' success. Gurley was Batman, Goff was Robin. Once Goff was asked to take over the team and put things on his shoulders, the turnovers started increasing big time and the holes in his game became more and more apparent.
