If it weren’t so blatantly disgusting, it would be laughable. I’d say the NFL needs to get a handle on this but clearly ole Rog doesn’t give a shit.

If one of these missed false starts impacts a playoff game, that would be really bad.

From the above image posted by Old School, the sideline official can be seen.

For the life of me, I can not understand why the NFL does not TRY a simple adjustment where that official stands on this play. Move the two sideline officials OFF THE SIDELINE, and have them come forward onto the field about 10-15 feet from the the players.

That would bring them much closer; and, perhaps, better able to see these CLEAR off-sides.

The officials would not be in the way, as all 22 players are bunched in the middle of the field.
Even if the offense tries something other than the tush-push, the officials will have time to move. Hell, most of the other officials and the referee are on the field every play, moving amongst the players and action.

I'm not certain it would work but for Fuck Sake! ... TRY SOMETHING!!!

That's what angers me about it the zebra is there looking right at it. Is it being terrible at his one job or is he dirty/cheating?

Sine the league won't officiate it the owners should ban it.
I agree. But it’s complete bullshit that they will wait until the off season to consider it. Until then, they need to do their fucking jobs and officiate it properly. There is literally zero excuse for them to keep letting it go. It’s just so blatantly obvious.

Exactly. It’s just not possible they don’t see it. And if they fuck up a couple times in the other direction? Good. It has been ignored for so many plays that they deserve to lose a few questionable calls.

What I don’t get is why they would want to look so pathetic.

I think those cheesy roughing the QB penalties are way more bothersome than the push tush plays....

If the Rams could do the push tush with success, and get away with false starts I would be all for it.

I think the problem is on a normal play the OGs are a head or football length behind the center. On those pushes, all the OL are lined up fairly even across the front. So a ref looking in from the sideline can't even see the snap. He just sees the OGs moving and probably cant tell if the ball was snapped yet.

So what they should enforce is the OGs need line up normally, with that same std distance behind the center. Then the refs could see the ball snapped more easily.

BTW, it's obvious by now that the false starts are intentional. They are part of the design of the play.

"Rog" is the guy who destroyed the Cheatriot's cheating tapes from Matt Walsh. He said they didn't cheat and destroyed the tapes despite being the only one who reviewed the tapes.

It's like every other penalty. The players are coached to break the rule and make the refs call it. Which is usually not called. So percentages say it is the way to coach and play.

It's really odd how some get so uptight about cheating (especially on the football field), and it happens all the time in football. We were taught to get away with whatever we could on the field (to get the advantage).... When we lost a game we never reflected if the other team cheating. We always looked at what could have been controlled on our end that would provide a different outcome. Then after film session was over on Sunday or Monday night it was off to focusing on the next opponent.

The old football coach saying:

"If you're not cheating you're not trying"

I have a much more civilized reference for lying :laugh1:

"Dialogue contrary to the truth"

Everyone does it so that makes it ok? That is what is wrong with everything.

I real life probably not, but life isn't fair.

In sports as long as nobody gets hurt, I'm okay with a little deception here and there
We are talking about blatant, easy to see. Not deseption.
It would be different if the refs on a tush push had not been made aware of the blatant offsides in video and told everyone they would watch for it.

Honestly I could care less about the push-tush and who uses it, and what penalties are not called because of it.
