True, but even Allen stuggled big time in his first action. It normally Takes Lineman a few years to learn the playbook, technique and get their bodies NFL ready. I remember watching big Orlando Pace live in year 1 and you could see the talent but he was getting wrecked consistently.
Don't have a dog in the fight, but it'll be annoying having to hear cowboys fans celebrating, and acting like they got a shot this year.

Exactly, which is why the push for drafting a center and expect him to start this yr was a little wishful thinking. And I know Humphrey is playing fairly well, but that is rare. Obviously they felt good about the options they had and Allen ended up exceeding their expectations.
Humphrey is and was a great prospect. And would be a good cheap option for a long long time that’s only going to improve every year. Allen is going to be demanding good money very soon after this season if he doesn’t get injured again.
Also no one predicted Allen would be playing as well as he has these 3 games so far. Especially the last 1 to 2 years.
