When I see stuff like that on a player one word comes to mind "DIVA". They forget or don't care that it's a team sport. Without the other guys the team won't get very far. Sooner or later the price gets too restrictive and then they are gone. Especially with WR's where that production can be spread around and each year there is another top WR prospect. RB's and WR's are probably the easiest positions to fill.
A player trying to earn as much money as possible to provide for his family & generations after in a sport where you are most likely guaranteed physical & mental pain after retirement is a diva? That’s something alright.

I hope we knock Thomas out of the game when we play the Saints next. And then someone on the Rams pulls out a cellphone, calls 911, says that there's been an assault committed, and holds it to his ear.

Do you expect them to just accept whatever the team wants to pay them and be fine with it? Is AD a "diva"? And while RB may be one of the "easiest positions to fill", WR is clearly not for everyone - ESPECIALLY an elite level receiver. I don't give two shits about the Ain'ts and would love them to be in cap hell from signing a "diva". But the guy has put up the kind of numbers to warrant top money and he has improved every year for the three years he has been in the league. It's pretty much SOP to start talking about extensions and 2nd contracts after the 3rd year of a 4 year contract - hell - sometimes before that. It would be stupid for he and his agent to use OBJ's contract level as a starting point.
