Yes....more so in the type/prototype of player they would target in the draft.
Yeah, I think it could be both an inline and/or move TE in the draft. We could use upgrades and successors at both spots.
In Washington he had some combo of Jordan Reed/Vernon Davis and Derrick Carrier as the combo of move and inline TE respectively and used quite a bit of 12. Reed/Davis offered a nice speed/size aspect to things. (though I think there were times were Reed and Davis were on field at same time with Reed more as the inline TE - he could kinda do it all).
Even here, we see how important Higbee is to the team as an inline TE and the impact not having him on the field had in both the run and passing game (Parkinson is a useful player and I'm okay keeping him for the time being unless there's a significant cap benefit in moving him) and we need a successor there.
McVay attempted to duplicated the Redskins offense when he came here, drafting Everett as the move TE and weapon, not realizing what he had in Kupp yet. He's attempted to draft guys like that w/ Jacob Harris.
I'd say McVay is looking for a move TE weapon first and foremost but I don't think he would turn down an opportunity to draft a great inline guy either given how important that is to the system as show by his use of Higbee and Carrier.
