That's the most useless shit. Anything to get a woman on the screen.
Analytics is legit and there quite a few women who are excellent in the field.

I just don't like that they present her takes as backed by science with no work shown and no accountability for the models. Are they even kinda accurate? I dunno and short of going and looking, they aren't saying and you'd think they'd tout her accuracy if she were accurate.

I couldn't care about opinions or guesses, but she's presenting mathematical models which if they aren't accurate are shit. I mean, if the weatherperson is wrong every day, you'd think they'd be replaced instead of elevated as she's been.

The problem always is that people try to use metrics to make decisions when they have very little or no data to use.

The most accurate models are owned by the mob I am sure. And they could tell you what they are but then...

Obviously analytics is legit but not how the present their mindless jargon of whatever model they’ve created. It’s literally a way to get her on TV with an angle to fit a demographic. Period.

It’s an entertainment channel trying to raise ratings anyway they can by experimenting.

Can you imagine what it is going to be like to defend against Kupp, Nuka, Atwell, Jefferson and Higbee? I think if today was an example we are going to see the Rams putting the ball in the air a lot!

I didn’t see the game live. Only thru NFL Redzone. How did Jefferson do. I saw a bad drop and a decent 12 yard catch. Otherwise he seemed contained.

One bad drop was good other than that. More fine than good but a clutch catch on 2nd and long.

Kupp
Puka
Tutu
Jefferson
Skrow

Tutu has always had feathery hands and showed that off today. I just dont trust Jefferson to catch the ball and unfortunately that's not teachable. I hope we continue to feed Tutu he looked so comfortable today.

Does this mean that Stafford can play QB? From all the off-season coverage its like the guy retired or something...

Well a lot of us knew that this team was going to surprise people and they have. Next week if the Rams lose as long as it is a closely contested game I'm good with that. Because it's in game 18 when we play them in January that it will mean the most. A win next week would be a statement game. The Rams giving notice to the NFL to take them lightly at their peril.

I knew that the Seahawks were being overhyped. That they had not improved that much and I expected Geno to fall to earth this year. A better measuring stick will be next week. This game was a confidence builder. I was really happy to see no more uber soft zones. Routes were being contested. When Morris did away with his split two & one gap read / react DL then they began to get pressure on Geno. I knew if he simply played a one gap penetration style DL they would make Geno's day miserable. Morris needs to carry that lesson over to next week. Pleasant has got the DBs playing 100% better this year.

I guess the Seahawks will be drafting a QB1 next year as well.

It's strange to me why so many people believe these so called "informed and knowledgeable" media types.

Excellent point which translates to companies who use them to run a business a million miles away from a desk. Sometimes numbers don’t mean anything if you don’t understand them.

Germaine to your statement, unless you watched the Rams practice and actually saw development (or in some cases, a lack of), your numbers are based on what?
—no NFL experience or small sample sizes of 2nd year players.
—no idea who the starters are gonna be.
—simply transposing last year’s numbers onto this year’s team (seahawks) without considering “quality” wins, of which they had few.

Admittedly, I expected this game to be closer, but I gave the Rams more than a puncher’s chance. Going into halftime down essentially one big play, I liked our chances. The defense went from bending but not breaking to dominating. In what universe would you find metrics that could have predicted that? There was no hint at how the Rams defense would play, schematically.

Conversely, do the metrics after week 1 now predict a SB run by the Rams?

If Akers takes that carry to the right it's 6+.. poor vision.
Yep. Poor vision
LOL… lets ask Cynthia Freland how her models look now
She’s a fucking joke
I love this because MJD was only one who picked us, being a Rams reporter in the area he knew what he had seen the last couple months.
Kyle Brandt predicts the Rams make the playoffs

It totally ignores the human element. You cannot put numbers to that. Plus, early season games can be very unpredictable. Freelund is a joke.
