Ivermectin
i thought that only miraculously cured cancer when no other drug had worked before. people who watch youtube/facebook/tiktok swear by it.
i know one thing it definitely works for, scabies. i once got them somehow (i'm thinking a lounge at a holiday hotel room, i was the only person that sat on it) and, fuck me, it was the worst thing imaginable. not from the scabies, but i was sick and couldn't breathe properly so i was on oxygen. i started getting very itchy on my underarms and i initially thought it was a sweat rash as i couldn't really shower too much, then i thought it was a reaction to a new medication. then the itchiness started spreading throughout my body and man did i have to scratch, especially at night when i was trying to sleep. my wife got it as well because she had to do everything for me, including cleaning me. all the things we tried to stop it, all the creams, useless. and as i couldn't breathe it made it much more of a nuisance.
then one day at work a medical receptionist saw my wife's hands and the tiny rash marks between her fingers and told her she thinks it's scabies. all the drs came out to have a look and confirmed that it was scabies. they gave scripts for ivermectin for the whole family and told her to go home instantly. as she was leaving they were sterilising her work space thoroughly.
we all had one dose of it, depending on weight. i had to have 5 tablets. and that was it, scabies gone. just to be sure we had another dose a week later. nobody could sit on the couches for 5 days so all the scabies could die. and of course all bed sheets had to washed in hot water.
man, but i tell you scratching the itchy sections was soooooo satisfying before the treatment. but it was constant and one thing you didn't want to do is break the skin so it was a tricky medium. after taking the dose scratching an itch was so painful. luckily it subsided fairly quickly.
so there you go. if you ever have the misfortune of getting scabies use ivermectin to get rid of those little fucking parasites.
