Mcvay is not gonna tell the team that the whiners or the seahawks dictate what he will do against the Cardinals. If the whiners win... you can rest assured he will pull the starters quickly. But if the hags win... I believe he will play to win.
naa.. he's going to play too soon... like what was said earlier.. don't want to back into the playoffs on a losing streak

Mcvay has confirmed the starters will play on Sunday regardless if their seeding is already determined. So with all the Poltergeist-type of events that have happened this year to screw this team, he invites possible injury with a 37 year old QB with back issues and a WR with a LB's approach to hitting, who gets hurt a lot. I understand they need to not only win but do so convincingly, but to take that risk in this bizarro season is scary.
In my opinion, playing scared would be a much worse decision.

Generally speaking, I tend to agree with Belichick and McVay. Belichick is an asshole and I dislike him (like all Rams fans do), but I gotta concede he knows a thing or two about getting a team ready for a playoff run.
Unless that team is my beloved Tarheels. I still feel like I need to take a shower after seeing him on our sideline. It’s just not not right!

Yall do know that he has the right to change his mind too after today's games.

Let's see what happens before doomsday huh.

I suppose and hope that he didn't push the players too hard in practice. Last week, the team overall, with emphasis on the defense, looked leg weary. The Rams need to build momentum going into the playoffs. Go out and establish dominance over a weaker Cardinals team and keep rotating players in on the defensive line.

it's not like players are not going to get injured form here on out. we have to get through this game then the wild card game and the rest to the Superbowl. who's it going to be and when. It will be interesting to see how the injuries play out for all the teams. I just hope the rams are done with them.

Get the team on a roll going into the playoffs, that last game against the Falcons was a fluke. Play the starters at least the first half and let's see some playoff style football from this team.

Really don’t get the logic behind it, but OK. The risk is way higher at this point if you don’t care about thee established outcome.
I think he is approaching this game as a must win just in case it means something. If SF wins tonight, I think you’ll see the starters come out of the game after the first qtr.

AZ is decimated with IR. Neither McVay nor the Rams want to look bad against them.
And unfortunately anything below a 3 score lead is susceptible.

If we are going to the superbowl let's play the eagles and finally put it to rest. Then off to the superbowl after we play Seattle. Go, Rams!

It's more than that in my book. I think McVay should play the starters because they need to get focus after 2 straight losses. Injury is is always possible but getting their "RAM MOJO" back comes from playing. The exception is Adams with the hammy, rest that until the playoffs.

Hopefully, when the playoffs start Dotson, Jackson, Higbeast, Adams, Lake, McCollough, Fiske and others will be 100 and the team full strength.

I'm pretty sure practices will also be HIGH INTENSITY to sharpen everyone up!!!

They’ve played like shit. They need a tune up game to get back on track

Yeah, I'm on the can't-play-scared train.

McVay has done both and it doesn't work well, the other way. I understand resting starters a little bit for optimal health. But we see it during the course of games, and it happens with seasons too: Momentum is a strange but true reality. (Only wish it carried the Rams to a win Monday once that Momentum swung their way)

This game, or at least the first half, HAS TO be about setting things right on all three sides of the ball.

The 2023 season finale had the starters start (except for Stafford) with lots of work for the backups.
A similar approach, with Stafford playing limited snaps, would be in-character for McVay.

Destroy the cardinals. We aren't afraid of the eagles, but playing Tampa or Carolina is still the preferred path to advance. Just like the superbowl 56 season, the whiners went to green bay and beat them (did our dirty work) then came to LA where we beat them.
