Not the I think Wade needs to go but, IMO, a 3-4 defense makes more sense when you have stud LB's.
Outside of Littelton I'm not sure we have the personnel for a 3-4. Teams that got past the DL exposed us.

I want to see Wade as DC of this team even when he's driving on the sidelines in a power chair.

But that said Coach McVay is the face of the franchise. If he wants more, go get it for him.

"with this much talent on D"

lots of teams have this much talent on D.
big names like Talib and Peters and Weddle dont mean much. How much talent outside of Donald on our line? Dante Fowler is a big name and a bust until this season. He is still far from elite.
JJ3 was he ever there?
Ramsey? Sure, for the few healthy games we had him.

Look, Wade had his guys prepared to win us a SB less than a calendar year ago.
I didnt see wade calling stupid plays, I saw players not executing.
the games our D SSUUCCKKEEDD? Our guys looked slow and confused and incapable of wrapping up.

The defense had 4 clunkers: Tampa, Baltimore, Dallas & San Fran
On the other hand, the defense also had 7 monster games: Saints, Falcons, Bengals, Bears, Cardinals, Seahawks and even though they lost, Pittsburgh. I would love to fix the clunkers, but not sure if throwing the baby out with the bath water costs us the monster games too

Who would you have replace Wade? Personally I don't see Wade or the defense as the issue.
Are you serious did you see our Run Defense against the Cowboys, Niners and especially the Ravens. Did you see TB they scored at will on us that is on the Defense. The Ravens scored the first 5 possessions in a row. This is a better D than last year minus Suh, but Weddle is better than Joyner and Ramsey is an upgrade and Rapp was a steal, our D line was better but the Defense seemed to break down and that is on Wade. He has had 3 years to get his guys and the Defense never cracked the top 10 for a year.

It was actually six and if they wanted to it could have been twenty in a row. The rams d that day couldn't stop diddly. Neither could the offense. A total team failure.

As was the cowboys game.

There was something wrong with the team this season. Something was just not right. I think mcvay learned a lot this season and hope he becomes a better coach for it.

Yeah what was not right was the coaching. How can they let Dak and the Cowboys who were struggling so bad to whoop our asses on National TV. We allowed 4 teams to score over 40 points on us this season. Its either that or we overpaid Donald and could not support him with enough good talent to make the D work. I’d like to think its the coaching and not the limited cap space/draft picks. We played a lot of terrible offenses this season that made our stats on defense look respectable (Cleveland, Cincy, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Saints without Brees, Chicago). I would let Wade walk and bring in someone younger that can match McVays energy, vision and enthusiasm

Right near Georgia F! She's about 10 miles away from the new stadium. Talk about a weird ending!

So who do you replace him with?

Who out there is better than Wade right now?

Disagree.
We are then looking at a couple years of changing out talent.
Any of schemes can work with the right personnel and execution.

especially because Wade uses a lot of 4-3 concepts as well in his 3-4 base. I do think The Rams need a big DT/NT though. Greg Gaines is not that guy, but will develop each year.He is still a pup !!

This

We need Greg Gaines to grow into the NT position or find a stud in the draft

SJD just wasn't doing the job in those blow out losses.

Dallas was the #1 offense this year

Anyone know when McVay and Snead will meet with Stan? I ask because it's obvious that changes are needed to this team to achieve our potential.

I'm hinting at potentially replacing Wade and Pastoors. If the Rams wait much longer, the candidate pool will shrink.
Since when did Stan become Jerry Jones? I highly doubt he is ever going to have that kind of meeting, and if he did, we'd likely never hear about it.

I'm not comparing Stan to Jerruh, that's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure I'd have some fairly strong expectations of performance if I invested $6B of my own capital into a new stadium and my team underachieved.

Relatively speaking this would be a meeting of expectations: Money Stan has put into the stadium and being on the receiving end of blowouts. If I'm Stan, I'm looking at Snead and McVay for answers on how to prevent those from happening again.

I’m sure most owners have some version of end of season meeting.

I am not sure Stan's money should come into this that was a business decision not just about the team.

But Stan should be concerned about the the teams direction and how do we get back to where we belong with the talent we have.

Again I hope he weighs in on Wade. Wade is a good coach not great. McVay is a great coach. We need to find that version on Defense to elevate the entire team.

Clearly Wade being let go is a hard decision, but 3 years has told all of us what we need to know. But McVay and Les need to express how we are going to fix the oline and the Run D these are big future concerns for next year so I am sure Stan would like some answers.
