Not sure McNabb was on point. They should not be thinking about drafting a quarterback after they traded up to grab one with the 2nd overall pick. But he does have a point about the durability.

We know all about that with Sam Bradford. The main difference though, Wentz has proven he can win games and elevate the play around him. Bradford never did prove that.

I just have to wonder if Wentz will be one of those sad cases where a guy loaded with talent can never get any continuity going because he can't be on the field enough.

Ya, good point. Next too seasons we should a good idea if Wentz is a Bradford hurtbag or not

Goff baby!
I’m still chewing on crow as I admit I wanted Wentz due to size. But I was always okay w/ Goff. Just had Wentz a tad higher going into that draft.

I was on the fence with them. I loved Wentz and the athletic size. Plus, everything I heard said he was more NFL ready from day one. But it felt like Goff had a higher ceiling. I think that still might be the case.

And there was the Fisher factor. I still think so long as Fisher was HC, that Wentz was more likely to produce for the Rams. Goff had the higher ceiling, with a coach who understood modern NFL offenses, but the Rams didn't have that.

I think your bang on. Goff will take another step in the right direction this season.

Side note: I coined him my “Stone Cold Killa” to all my football non Ram fans. Poking the bear to get them all pissed off. One guy is so adamant that McVay will be figured out this year and all the media will roast him as they expected this to happen. Hears to another 11+ win season and slamming him for being a fool

What these people don't take into account, McVay's the head coach. Responsible for the whole team. I think we're going to see a much better defense. So what if defenses figure McVay out to a degree? Its not like everyone's gonna shut them down.

Maybe instead of averaging 32 or 33 points per game they average 28 or 29. If the defense drops their ppg average accordingly, the Los Angeles Rams are still a very good team capable of making it back to the Superbowl.

Wentz has yet to prove he can get through an entire season without an injury.

Thank you!
That’s what my rub has been with him all along.
If I recall correctly, he didn’t even play a full year in college either.....so I ‘guess’ he did in High School...???
Durability CANNOT be underestimated especially in the NFL at QB.
That’s one of the big problems with these running QB’s.

IMO McNabb is one of the most over rated QB's in my lifetime.

He was mediocre.

And those Eagles teams he played on were very good most years, and in a couple of years excellent.
