He's the fastest to 50,000 for a number of reasons. First, he can play quarterback with the best of them. Second, Detroit has sucked the entire time he was there except for 3 seasons. The guy has played more ball trailing than any of the "big names" like Brady and Rodgers. He's #7 (tied) in game winning drives (41) and #6 (tied) in 4th quarter comebacks (33). Warner has 11 and 7. Why? Because he was leading most of the time. Now Stafford has joined a team that is better than the best Lions team he ever played for and he's showing what he can do. His career QB rating was 89.9 in Detroit. His best year was the 8 game season he played in 2019 (106.0) and the only season he had a QB rating north of 100. This year, despite learning one of the most difficult offenses in the NFL, as well as learning his receivers, he's playing at a 108.2 clip, almost 20.0 points higher than his 12 year average. And he's raised his career QB rating to 91.3.....in just 14 games. Think about that for a second.....he played 164 games at 89.9 and in 14 games he's raised it to 91.3. That would probably be the equivalent of a 12 year .290 hitter joining the Dodgers and in 1 year raising his career average to .300. It would take a helluva pretty good season! It ridiculous that Murray was chosen over Stafford. But maybe he's still got a better award waiting for him. SB MVP.
