Outside linebacker Matt Longacre has shown some progress since undergoing season-ending back surgery last December. Longacre participated in individual drills through the first two days of training camp, then took part in four plays of team work on Saturday and six on Sunday. Longacre, who had 5 1/2 sacks as a backup last season, is competing for the starting spot opposite of Samson Ebukam.
