Hopefully this doesn't get anyone's panties in a twist... It's just a meme!!

And you KNOW you starting singing that infernal jingle when you read it, haha...

We have one of these in town. I tried eating that reaper challenge too... they really do make you sign a waiver before they'll give it to you.

I could only eat half of the piece of chicken. This shit makes you feel severe pain.

I used to eat really hot stuff all the time. Now I don't. Acid reflux scarred my esophagus and I have a hard time swallowing food. The gastro doc stretched it and now its better. But I have to have it done every year now. And get tested for cancer. The price you pay for a lifetime of enjoying spicy food. I still like medium hot salsa though.

My two college roommates and I had a bet. We got a dozen 'third degree burn' wings. We were each supposed to eat four. I They only ate one. I ate four. It was worth the three way $20 bet in 1990, but I'll never do that again.

If I did that, I would take one bite and throw the rest of the wing as far as I could

If I ever make it to a ROaD Trip, I'll take on all comers at hot food: I can eat a whole Carolina Reaper, raw, easily.

The problem with hot food challenges for me isn't the heat but the sheer amount of food. I am not a big eater, so it's the size of the portions that defeats me.

They were bad. It burnt like hell, and there was no chicken flavor to it at all. I like all kinds of peppers. I like the flavor. These wings didn’t even have a decent pepper taste. I’ll never do it again.

Just 5 years ago, I would have taken you up on that offer. For some reason, I’m not able to go too extreme anymore. I still can out hot anyone I know except my wife.

I still love really hot foods and eat them against my better judgment. I pay for it later and know I will before I eat whatever it is. But the burn is worth it. Even if I don’t think so later.

My wife and I routinely go to Thai restaurants and order it as hot as we can get it. Most of the times they question us unless it’s our favorite place here where they already know.

There was a place not far from me (it's closed down now) that did a "spicy" challenge: spicy burger, spicy hot dog and spicy fries. It was all the usual bhut jolokia (aka Ghost Pepper) rubbish; I could eat it with my eyes closed. What I couldn't do was eat all that in ten minutes (which was the challenge).

The record was 2'16". Bonkers.

There was another, proper Indian (or, more correctly, Bangladeshi) restaurant that did a challenge where if you could eat their hottest curry, your table (up to four people) would all eat free (excluding drinks). I went with my then girlfriend and her parents and finished that easily. We went back a couple of weeks later and I took on the challenge again: the kitchen obviously threw every chilli at their disposal into my curry (I felt sorry for anyone else who ordered a hot dish that evening, as there obviously weren't any chillies left), and you could see the staff's jaws drop as I polished the karai clean with the last of my naan bread.

I was barred after that.
