no more fried egg Fridays for the bird?I love bacon, chorizo, and sausage... but as I've gotten older, I won't eat eggs unless they're cooked into something like a baked product. The smell of eggs makes me gag now. It wasn't always like that though because my Mom and Grandmother used to make them for me all the time for breakfast and I liked them.
Up until the last few years I always enjoyed having a lightly fried (sunny side up) egg on my sandwiches... the liquid yolk was heaven for me. I also enjoyed having Huevos Rancheros for breakfast at a few different restaurants too.
Now... eggs just disgust me. Starting with the smell and also the taste and texture. That is really the only food item that has ever gone from me really enjoying them to hating them. I don't know how to explain it... but my brain and senses tell me HELL NO to them now.
But I've really never liked eating breakfast of any kind. I don't really get hungry until about 2pm every day. My siblings love cereal... but I have never really liked it very much. I skip desserts too basically always. I will eat cherry pie (hot) with vanilla ice-cream and a good quality key-lime pie, but I won't eat cakes of any kind. I don't have a sweet tooth at all. It wouldn't bother me if I never ate any kind of dessert again period.

It TOTALLY was! Except it was actually Grape Nuts and not pop rocks!~ Yul GibbensAnd for us real old folks, not only do we remember his name, we also remember the urban legend of him dying from eating pop rocks
(Which was totally not true)

The yolks are pretty much orange and stand real tall off the whites. Give me a couple over easy eggs, bacon/sausage, English muffins - I’m set until dinner.
So you’re telling me you don’t like crab cakes or razor clams and eggs? Disappointing. No eggs Benedict? King crab eggs Benedict?
I generally only eat eggs on Saturday and Sunday. It’s one of the few meals Becky will make.
We go to a restaurant here in Reno (PJ’s) that makes maybe the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. 3 lightly poached eggs with very thin sliced ham and spinach laid on top of a split croissant then topped with a sherry cream sauce served alongside pan fried red potatoes and onions. I’m salivating just thinking about it.
Monday through Friday, my breakfast consists of a large glass of rich, chocolaty Ovaltine.![]()
