Did I ever tell you about when I was a kid I wanted to be a fireman? I took my little red wagon and dog to the fire station. There were very impressed:

"Well look at this. You got a shiny red wagon. A little ladder attached. And a Dalmation dog to pull it".

Then they noticed I had the rope tied around the dog's testicles: "Son, you might do better if you tied the rope around the dog's neck."

I said "Yeah, but then I wouldn't have a siren".

Honestly half the time I read these things I think these people can't be this stupid it has to be a fake or a set up. Then I go out in the world and actually talk to people and am reminded that yeah a lot of them are this stupid.

People didn't know what the Titanic was, so I'm honestly not that surprised. But I do question education. I learned what origami was when I read the story of Sadako Sasaki. It made me cry, especially the gesture done after her death. I also remember folding origami in middle school (I think I had a whole collection somewhere.), but I've lost the skill over time.
