My Wine Cellar for an ILB that can tackle & cover.
I honestly wonder if Snead values the position. I would love a Ray Lewis type ( Minus the Criminal Behavior) in a Rams uniform. It's been so long since they have had a dominate LB (not edge rusher).

After this game I believe the value for this position has changed just like after last year for kicker.

Yep. Still got two years before we need to pay Puka; by then, both Stafford and Coop will probably be off the books.
Yes but we’re having alot of our valuable D going to need an extension before then to.

I sure hope so. If we take a guy early or pick up a FA, I'll remember to thank your wine collection.

My first take is that it's freakin cold outside! 4 degrees and falling.... I wish our central heater worked! I feel for those poor people in North Carolina that are living in tents.

That sucks. Sorry bud. It’s minus 3 here with the windchill. Heat set at 70 with a heat blanket.

Agree with all 10 points.

But depending on what happens with Jonah Jackson, I might consider bumping Limmer to backup and bringing in a dominate center.

Limmer graded out at 42.6 per PFF as a pass blocker on the season. I think hes a hell of a backup but might have maxed out his ability as a starter.

We are paying Jackson whether he's a Ram or not.

And Limmer was a ROOKIE, people forget that rookies can improve.

Let them compete for the position if need be, but we are already spent on our O line.

I'm much more worried about the Tackle positions with Big Rob getting old and Alaric getting resigned.

Good stuff Mack, A weapon to put pressure on the D and create more big play opportunities. Kupp takes on a lot away from catching the ball, I would love to free him up some

On D I see all the same as being mentioned, CB #1 Depth on the DL maybe a true run stuffer and upgrades in ILB position.

WE aren't far off at all

Positives:

1. Our defense is capable of winning a super bowl now. The iggles had some big plays but the last one that almost put the game out of reach came from a blatant holding that wasn't called that allowed barkley to go the distance.

2. The Rams had 16 sacks in 2 playoff games. The 1985 Bears, considered arguably the best ever defense, had 16 sacks which included the super bowl, which is one more game that the Rams played.

3. Karty ended the season making something like 17 or 18 FGs in a row.

4. Evans is a solid punter, making clutch kicks when it counted.

5. This team is young and I bet they'll be hungry next season and will make a deep playoff run next season.

Areas where we need upgrades (IMO):

We need a run stuffing LB. (Can we clone Ray Lewis?)
We need to upgrade our a portion of the O-line, although they improved throughout the season.
A change of pace RB. Kyren is a good physical runner but those fumbles need to stop.
Either use Tutu more or get a 4.3 speed WR who opens up the field for others.
We need to find a young QB to groom to eventually replace Stafford.

Wonderful season. So close and looking up!

1) We need a stud ILB to pair with Speights. We struggle against home run hitters at RB.

2) We need a home run hitter as a change of pace back… our Jahmyr Gibbs type.

3) We need a WR who can stretch the field that McVay trusts. Atwell is plenty good enough, but McVay doesn’t trust him enough. I kept screaming to see Atwell because no one on Philly could keep up with him.

4) McVay is the best HC in the league. Hands down.

5) The grit of this team is unmatched. 16 sacks in two postseason games including 7 against that Philly OL is special.

6) We need to keep this OL intact. I dunno what that means for the Detroit LG we signed, but we need to sign Alaric Jackson.

7) Chris Shula needs a raise. Big raise.

8) Our K and P are set.

9) Snead needs to focus on the secondary in the draft like he did the OL.

10) Unless Kupp was injured and can come back healthy, I think he’s gone. We can’t just rely on Nacua. I know people don’t want to see this, but I could see us going after Tee Higgins unless a stud WR falls to us in the end of the first round of the draft. I love Kupp and would love for him to retire a Ram, but he’s not getting targets or separation.

I’m happy with this season and proud of this very young team. So many positives going into the offseason. I’m sad we can’t see more of this special team, but only one team ends the season happy.

Re 1).... still a mystery what the hell happened with Ernest Jones. He was far and away our best ILB. I bet they regret letting him go. Even if there was some bad blood there, they coulda tried harder to work it out.

2. Gibbs is a freak. Unbelievably talented. Home run hitters like that are NOT easy to find. And with Kyren, he might be a case of "don't know what you got until it's gone." Kyren has been a CONSISTENT run threat all year. Even today, most remember his fumble, but almost seem to forget he got over 100 yards at 5.6 YPC.

Great team, great season, showed a lot of guts. Sigh. So damn close.

Side note: We could have drafted Ray Lewis, but took Lawrence Phillips. We picked the wrong criminal! That one still smarts

McVay even said as much, I believe the quote was, "How did we let that guy out of the building"

I doubt that they think the difference between a win and a loss today was ILB.

Just my guess.
IDK on Hurts & Barkly's long runs Rozeboom misses a tackle on Hurts and is totally out of position on Barkley's long run. I am hoping they understand they have to get better there and look at drafting another opiton.
