To those of you that have lost parents I offer my most sincere condolences.

Life is short. Tell your parents you love them. Don't be too proud to say you're sorry. Forgive them for the little things.

I'm lucky I had a chance to say many of those things but still I have some regrets. Feels bad.

Go Rams.

Man! Sorry to see this.

Both my parents are getting up there. I dread that day like nobody’s business. We get down to their place as often as possible. I think some on here probably know how close my dad and I are. He raised me as a Rams fan as his dad did with him and I have with my boys.

My sincere condolences.

I hate to hear that man. We recently lost my Father-in-law to pancreatic cancer.

Best wishes, rdw.

I lost my mother a little over 4 weeks ago. I hadn’t really shared it broadly because - I’d be lying if I didn’t say - I am still a little “off” in some ways.

All I can say is; lean on others, here or elsewhere, when you need them. I found a lot of strength in doing that.

Tough time of year to experience this. My heart goes out to you.

Good thoughts.

I am so grateful that I had the time to tell my Dad the things that I needed to say, mostly how much I loved him. He wasn’t perfect but he was my Dad.

I’m sorry for your loss.

Bless you and your family.

The most settling words someone told me after my father passed away helped, and I will share with you.

The hole in your heart will never go away. But, it will get smaller.

RDW, I lost my mom last month. I will be thinking about you and your family through this rough time. I know of what your going through, man, and I hope you'll find some solace in the replies that these guys will give you. They did it for me.

I lost one of my two younger brothers to a car accident when he was 15 (1984).

I lost my Mom exactly two years ago.

I'm not over it for either of them. Think about both constantly. Amazing how many things pop up in life that trigger your memories of lost ones.

I don't think I'll ever get over it. I miss them!

My prayers go out to you and yours. I lost my dad several years back. Didn't hit me right away. It was only later when I would see something we were both interested in or just have any reason. I would reach for the phone to call him and have to stop my self. He is not there. That is when it hit me hard. People will say it gets better. It really doesn't, just more tolerable over time.
