2) Emmanuel Forbes Jr.'s progression

Forbes was an OTAs standout who established himself as an ascending player.
Carrying that progress into training camp will be crucial not only for his development, but the secondary's as a whole – especially after the vote of confidence in this current group by choosing not to draft any cornerbacks this year or add any veterans (excluding the re-signing of Ahkello Witherspoon).

Hard to believe a few plays away from winning the division title, the Rams have added a lot more potential to the roster. There are many camp battles and competitions; therefore, it's hard to focus on just one. I'm hoping Forbes steps up with some tight coverage. He has the tools.

Funny enough, got two shots in my spine (L4 and L5), last week.
And I just turned 77. 37? - big deal. :laugh2:

(So man the fuck up Stafford)
My wife has had three back surgeries. It’s tough to deal with back issues. I’ve had minor stuff but no surgeries. Knocks on wood.

For sure man, I’ve been high on him since he got here of the waiver wire. And seeing how serious and dedicated he’s been? He obviously is a good fit here culturally, here’s to hoping he steps up this year and is the first solid year of his Rams tenure!

I want Forbes to succeed, I think, just as much as anyone here. I was a huge fan of him in his draft year.

Dude if you are still butthurt from the thread last week or whenever it was and got roasted before you were told to settle down and feel like you need to prove some type of point, well have at it.

I'm going by McVay's own words on interviews on podcasts. Take it for what it's worth but not going to constantly respond to the loaded replies. Seriously, amazes me who some old men can be verdictive like women. smh.

It's the 2025 Training Camp thread, calm your tits.
Nah, not at all, just pointing out that McVay plays rookies about as often as any other coach who has a decent roster.

So sure any coach would prefer a good vet over a good rookie, but he has played plenty of rookies. Hell, 5 or 6 rookies played a ton last year.

So your thought process on this doesn't apply any more to McVay than any other coach because he has played rookies, especially in recent years.

So that's all...have a good night.

I have to say, it's a little amusing that Stafford has an endorsement deal with a mattress company and came to camp with a bad back:laugh4:
I'm thinking the girls stayed the night at Grandmas so Kelly could get Matthew to herself. :laugh4:

So that missed block in the playoffs cost him the starting job? I thought it would be a competition and Limmers job to lose.
He had trouble with line calls and adjusting throughout the season.
Stafford was making most of the pass blocking calls.
McVay said Shelton was brought back to help with that exact issue and was signed to start.
Just going by what McVay has said.

The thing I can’t UNDERSTAND is who FREAKING thought that wasn’t going to happen???

Does anyone really pay ATTENTION?

The Rams have done EVERYTHING that they have needed to do. IMO one of The Best thing yesterday was Mcvay talking about Veteran Players. Given AHKELLO his PROPER due as a Veteran Ram.It was his first mini camp as a RAM!! All he has done is help LEAD the DB/CB group. He is The OLDEST Tenure Defensive Ram with NINE SEASON in The NFL !!

My point is

1. Stetson Bennet coming in for 3rd season. I’m sure he has gained SO much experience as a backup QB.
The WHOLE questioning of him not being the backupQB is such BS !!

EXACTLY why The Rams signed Dresser Winn ? Is to protect Bennett in the preseason, help with Reps(added arm)& bring in a player who knows The Rams offense.

2.Kyren Williams signing wasn’t going to be a PROBLEM!! Look at Cobie Durant & Q. Lake and there contracts.I know it’s a touch situation & Kyren knows what The Rams vision is. Drafting Hunter was protection, but adds such GREAT depth at RB if(when) Williams signs.Win win to prolong his career.

3.OL - the Alaric Jackson got a little over blown. The talking about his contract is a JOKE!! All he has done is out play his contract.Signing depth is HUGE,but last season he did have his PED issue which is easy to forget, but did put The Rams in a BAD situation and a cause there poor start in 2024.That said Noteboom, & Bruss were not the answer .

Bennett has done nothing to show he can play effectively at the NFL level.
Until that happens, he should not be considered a viable back up.

I missed seeing that update from McVay, thanks
