Everybody said the Blue Jays would be fatigued. Sure looked like the Dodgers offense was sleep walking. Been that way the last couple series. Pitching is gonna have to dominate if they want to win this thing.

“Honey, what are you doing? We’re just going to a Dodger game!”

“I know, babe. Trust me. I just read Brad Paisley is singing the National Anthem”

To me every win is a must win. "Must" is a powerful word.

It at the very least will feel not good if they lose tomorrow.

I bet the Jay fans feel its a must win tomorrow as well.

Maybe more than us Dodger fans.

We were flat tonight all around.
Well, the way I see it, obviously if a team is gonna want to win the series the loser tonight will have to win the next two. I'm not confident the Dodgers can win two in a row on the road. The offense is struggling. Kike and Smith are the only ones hitting above their season average. With Kike its because his season average wasn't that good to begin with.

Like I said, I've been watching the 2025 World Series with no sound and it's even more enjoyable than I thought it would be. And like I said, the graphics give you more relevant information than Smoltz. But tonight......"WORLD SERIES FACT: The team who wins game #5 when the series is tied 2-2 wins the whole thing 66% of the time". NO SHIT? You mean the team who goes down 3-2 loses 2 out of 3 times? Whod a thunk it?

NOTE: This game 5 has certainly started with a bang. Back to back jacks! Or as John Sterling, Yankees radio announcer says, "back to back and belly to belly!!" Whew!!!!!

You know, when I watch the Rams it doesn't matter if its obvious they're gonna lose the game. They could be down 30 points in the 4th quarter. I still watch all the way to the end.

Its different with the Dodgers. If there's a couple innings left and they're losing by a lot I don't wanna watch anymore. I change the channel or turn it off. Did that last night. I don't wanna watch any post game stuff. The way this one started I wonder if I'll be watching at the end.

Players just flat out didn't put in any heart these last 2 games. Too bad Roberts couldn't play and pitch for them he might have done something more than these guys.

Don't you think that's totally ignoring the pitching performance of Yesavage? I mean, come on, give the guy credit for making the Dodgers look heartless. 1 run; 2 hits, 0 BB, 12 Ks, 104 pitches; 71 strikes. Pretty impressive.

No options really, Vesia has made it even more difficult
Blue Jays can hit and that was the one team I did not want to face. Oh well, maybe the Dodgers can find some magic on the road, but if not, time to retool a bit with the bullpen, LF & 3B as areas of opportunity.

You can count these guys out if you want, but I'm not.

Yama game 6 and then game 7 ANYTHING can happen.

Stick with these guys.

Heart of a champion!!!!

Maybe Yama can pitch games 6 and 7 and throw shutouts both games and the dodger offense will only have to score one run each game... lol...

The Dodgers look like that 10 game losing streak in late August where they couldn't beat two last place teams....

We got some older guys on the team and they may be gassed. Hopefully the Blue Jays have a mental break down on Friday and Yamamoto can throw a shut out.

Agreed, our pitching has been about what I would have expected. Starters are OK with Yami being outstanding so far.
We are losing because of our bats, hard to assess and fix that. We have been streaky all season and we are asleep at the wheel

Dodgers have the look of an aging team that is wearing down from the long, grueling season.

I’m certainly not ruling them out but there sure seemed to be a lack of heart over the past two games.

I sure hope they can get that energy back. And a .133 battling average ain’t going to get it done - especially when most of those few hits are coming with no one on base.

Not sure its lack of heart. To me they just have the look of a tired team.
