Well, at least the offense tried. Scored 7 runs. Thats a good sign. But they couldn't overcome the bullpen. I think our only hope is that our experienced big game tested team turns it around in October.
 
Losing 6 games to the Angels who won only 8 or 9 games in the month of August

And losing 1 to the Pirates

And Roberts is a stubborn idiot not moving Betts to right field.

Kim could easily play short with Rojas and Hernandez spelling him from time to time.

Betts is graded out as the best defensive Shortstop in the NL.

Not saying we dont need to address the corners, and that will come when Edman returns....

Patience....this team will peak when it matters most.....

Maybe but his offense has just spiraled down.

I think Rojas and Kim can be very capable defensive shortstops.

And then Betts can get his hitting going again and move Teo to left field where he belongs. Plus Betts defense in right field would be a huge improvement in the outfield.

Conforto has just been a major disappointment this year.

Score 7. Give up 9. Give up 3. Score zero. Just the way its been going this year for them. They face Skenes tomorrow. A sweep by a last place team is definitely in play. They're lucky San Diego is on a losing streak too. I'm seeing them going into the playoffs no better than 3rd seed. If they win the division. That's still far from a given. What's the wild card round? Two out of three? Can they put it together when they need it?

WC is 2 out of 3.

Best is yet to come. Stick with em!!! No one playing out of this world in the NL....come playoff times its ANYONES game....
 
I don't know if they deserve to be in the playoffs not being able to beat under 500 teams.

They seem to do okay against the better teams but they are pathetic against the worst teams.
 
Pirates fan here. Just dropping in to say you'll probably beat Skenes because that's just how the Pirates are. They'll probably give him about a one run support today.
 
Nope. As expected a last place team swept the Dodgers. Again. Hope they can hold onto the division lead. At least get home field in the wild card round.
