Everyone said the Tigers were the best team less than 4 weeks ago.

Saturday night we were all riding high.

Things change quick. Stick with em.....

I haven't given up..... yet.

Our bullpen is just frustrating me.

I think we lead the league in most blown saves in the 8th and 9th inning by a very large margin.

Of course, you have to have a lead in the 8th inning and 9th inning to have this failure.

I get it.

Last year we are down 2-1 to SD and throwing a bullpen game in SD. Everyone figured we were done....

Ill never count these guys out....certainly not in Aug.

As it stands today they're one game out of first and in second place for a wild card. If the bullpen doesn't come out of their funk we'll be fighting just to get in the playoffs. Roberts said they're approaching it with a sense of urgency after the loss the other night. Then they come out and lose another. Swept by a team that was 6 games under .500 before the series.

Yeah but last year we had a bullpen we could count on but were lacking starters. Fortunately we were able to count on the bullpen to make up for the missing starters.

This year, we have starters and no bullpen that can pitch in the 8th or 9th inning. Much worse imho.

And that is 5 straight 1 run games lost in the 8th or 9th inning. Plus getting swept 6 games by the angels this season to boot.

This is not good at all.

Injuries have just devastated our bullpen this year.

I am thinking this is not our year with all the injuries.

I haven't given up completely, but I am close if the bullpen doesn't turn it around soon.

On July 3 the Dodgers were 56-32. 24 games over .500. Since then they're 12-21. That is more than a temporary slump. Offense hasn't been as good. Starting pitching either. Bullpen is worse. No lead is safe.

They're second in wild card standings. 4 games in front of Cincy for the last spot. If they play at the same pace the rest of the way they aren't likely to make the playoffs. They sure got a lot of hype in the beginning. I wonder how much that affected them?

Roberts said they know they have to play with a sense of urgency. And they respond by getting swept by a team with a losing record.
