I am with you on that. My hatred for the 49ers goes all the way back to the early '70s.

Hate the Niners with a passion. I would match that hate with anyone. I mean, it's unhealthy.

It's been 28 years since they won their last Super Bowl. I believe their record is 2-4 in the NFC Championship; and they lost both of those Super Bowls. It's brutal to get that close and come-up short.

That's speaking from experience.
The Rams were 1-6 in NFC Championship Games between 1974-1989; and lost that Super Bowl.

Since 1999, I believe the Rams are undefeated (4-0) in the NFC Championship; and 2-2 in Super Bowls.

Where we part ways is how I view the 49ers. They are a really good team, with excellent coaching in my opinion. The NFC Championship win last year is one of my all-time Best Rams' Fan Moments ... right there with the two Super Bowls.

I invited them over to watch and unlike the first game that year we were losing, and roman was stinking up the joint and old man Brodie was carving them up, I think the final score was 20 -6. the 9ers were pissing me off as usual (hate the 9ers) and of course the guys were giving me a hard time as they should. It was when the refs started making questionable calls and non-calls against the rams and My friends said ha ha even the refs hate the rams, I said "get out!" ushered them out the door and enjoyed another loss to the niners. yeah, I've hated the 9ers since I was 12. yes, my friends were happy as clams. I let my emotions get the better of me and they got the win. go rams

By-the-Way ... talk about not letting tough losses go ... the 1974 and 1976 NFC Championship losses in Minnesota remain two of my most disappointing memories as a Rams' fan. Unlike the NFCC losses in 1975, 1978, 1985 and 1989, those two Rams' teams were better those two days than the Vikings.

They've only recently restructured/resigned Armstead, Kittle, Williams, and Samuel and any deal they do on Bosa ain't going to lower his cap hit. Then they have to figure out what to fo with Lance.

I knew Trent Williams had signed a big deal but I didn't realize they had structured it so his cap number jumps $17m next year.

The same goes for Armstead, his cap hit jumps almost $15m

Then you get to Bosa and his jumps $7m and he's a UFA (32dn highest paid edge) so they will have to pay him more than the current top edge is getting, which is Myles Garrett on $25m averaged out.

Warner's increases by $10.5m

And CMC's by $11.5m.

Then Kittle rounds it out by jumping almost $4m

That is an additional $65m they have to find for just 6 players.

Then they have a QB they bet the farm on who they don't know has it or not and how to factor in potentially extending him at the end of next season if he plays well.

They could be utterly fucked!

Unless I am reading Under the Cap totally wrong, they haven't just gone all in, they have gone all in and thrown their house, car, wife, and dog onto the table too.

Soon enough? Like right now. The rams are going to have a losing record and should be figuring out who can play and who can’t. The only good news is the evaluation process can start now with real games against real teams not camp and preseason. McVay has to figure out how to get this offense going again as they misread the way defenses would attack them. I think the “other guys” have gotten a lot of valuable experience. If this team had any pass rush besides AD they would have several more wins.

Right now, it seems like the Rams are almost in pre-season mode. Let's find out who can play when the lights come on.
