Rams are considering to move up into round 1. I believe it was the 10th pick Browns for both 2nds. Target is said to be OT Cleveland

Not B.S. here. Just saying I heard this driving to work. It was on the update segment.

So stay tuned Rams fans.

6. EZRA CLEVELAND, Boise State (6-6, 311, 4.97, 1-2): Cleveland is a three-year starter at LT. “He’s a really good athlete,” said one scout. “He’ll be a solid pass protector. I think he’s steady. He tested out really well. He’ll be close to the first (round). Tackles go.” Lightly recruited out of Spanaway, Wash. “He reminds me of some of the guys Green Bay has had over the years,” said a second scout. “(Bryan) Bulaga, (David) Bakhtiari, guys that kind of are just functional and get the job done. They’re not spectacular, just steady … if Cleveland didn’t have to interview people would really like him. But his interview was so low energy and just kind of flat line that it kind of just scared people. He’s so Steady Eddie. It’s not that he’s a bad guy at all. Cleveland … he’s Boise, he’s a junior, he’s got to get stronger. But he is athletic.” He played most of 2019 with turf toe injury. Led tackles in five categories: the 40, Wonderlic (30), bench press (30), short shuttle (4.46) and 3-cone (7.26). Arms were just 33 3/8, hands were a tiny 9. “Everybody’s high on him,” said another scout. “Why am I not that high on him? There’s a degree of tightness in his hips. Has balance issues. I question his lower-body strength. Not going to beat point-of-attack defenders. Finesse guy that uses his size. Size defenders knock him around. I question his lateral adjust. But guys like him.”

Get ready to duck

More than one or two hate the idea of trading up...

Are you sure they said 10? Their second-round pick looks more likely looking at the value chart ;) I would hate it if I were right lol

The Los Angeles Rams will not trade up, they will trade back to acquire more draft capital. Now, they could trade down acquiring extra picks to move back up in the 4th round or something like that, but I don't see this trade happening whatsoever, they need players and they need players for draft choice salary..

I really hope LA doesnt trade all the way up into the first for Cleveland...I wouldnt be upset if they traded into the first and got Josh Jones but Cleveland should go in the 2nd

I have no doubts that you heard this on one of the talk shows @PressureD41, but many times those shows would be better off just playing dead air.

Noteboom was the pick. The draft class of 2018 is looking bleak folks.

I'd say that 2018 Rams class was cursed:(! Still, could go either way here PressureD41:hope:. 2018 draft class has a ton of questions lingering here @ Draft Time 2020:unsure:!

Two (4th & a 7th) of the 11 have departed. Bad DE picks for sure, those DE's just flopped going into the 2019 preseason. 2 of the Lb'ers (5th & a 7th) had preseason injuries that robbed them of their entire 2019 seasons. Another LB'er finally got healthy to contribute late after missing all of his rookie season(y). 2 others who did start (3rd & 4th) stunk it up & then got injured & placed on IR guess the Rams caught a break on that. ;)

Another (6thrd'er) was on then off, then back on the PS having no role in the offense at all(n). Another OL'er (6th rd'er) is covered up with "Fail Mode". Two (6th & 7th) had promising positive seasons in 2019 after doing zero in their rookie seasons, with one having a real chance to start this season @ ILB.(y)

Last year, the Rams traded back with Atlanta. The Falcons moved up fourteen spots (from 45 to 31) and gave-up a 79. Rams also got a late round pick.

So a mid #2 and a mid #3 got a late #1. A move up of 14 spots. Two late #2s would likely not be near enough for the tenth overall pick.

Ezra Cleveland is a really interesting prospect but ten overall seems high. The 3 QBs, 4 OTs, 3 WRs, Chase Young, Simmons, Okudah, Derrick Brown and Kinlaw make for 15.

I’m not giving up on Noteboom. He showed a lot of promise in his rookie year and I believe he’s strictly a tackle.

To be fair we didn’t pick until the 3rd round and hit rate is much lower. But right now Okoronkwo looks like the best pick. I think he really steps up this year.

The 6th rated OT at 10th overall, Hard Pass. Let the draft come to us we aren't a complete rebuild. Quit chasing and read the flow. When we get close and availability to grab a dropping player we can improve our team on Sundays is there then you consider it.

Ill take whit for 1 or 2 more years then insert noteboom. Trading up for a tackle in the 2nd would be the worst.

IF they move up for a LT the target will be Jones IMO. He won't require a top ten move up, and won't start this year, but has all the tools for the blindside.

Yeah that draft is a great example of how nobody bats a thousand. Snead's pretty good at finding gems but it's not sustainable to require that in order to overcome a lack of early picks.

That said there is still time for Boom or Allen or both to develop. But yeah it's rather hideous. And what is really scary here is that Snead has struggled so badly in his OL drafting. He's taken a lot of the big guys with very little to show for it.

Maybe we're not smarter than all the other teams. You know?

Trade up does not feel or look right to me. Highly unlikely IMO.(n)

Nor do I think the Joseph Noteboom plan is close to being over but going into 2020 season the plan now has some heavy negative questions weighing it down. I can differently say to any plan to play JN @ either OG post is over! The Rams paid a sizeable salary cap $$ toll to modify the "2020 Starting LT Plan" where signing Andrew Whitworth to a 3 year, $30 million contract, including a $5mil. signing bonus, $12.5 mil guaranteed & an average annual salary of over $10 million. That contract will keep AW here for at least 2/3 rds of that contract.

I would not be surprised that when the 2020 season has come to an end that JN will have earned & won the starting LT post away from AW. JN had that kind of skills & abilities to start & play LT post before the injury & surgery.

Yes he can play the RT post...... when JN is back to full health he sure would be an upgrade in pass blocking to either Hav or Evans. JN was our top swing OT in his rookie season seeing limited snaps @ both OT posts in regular season. I see JN as being more LT than RT. There is no need to consider JN @ RT when the Rams have four RT prospects under contract now.

With the Rams signing of AW plus the fact that JN is under contract until March 2022 I see no emergency high demand for an starting LT & certainly no need for a swing OT type or RT type should be considered @ this time. IMO it would be much smarter & get more value out of this draft if Snead were to roll with what he has in draft selections.

If a LT Josh Jones is still on the board near our #52 pick then might consider making a trade up with throwing Hav in the mix with a 3rd day draft selection. The best would let the draft come to us & plan to take LT Prince Tega Wanogho (Auburn) with our 3rd rd #84 selection & develop him to be our starting LT in 2022.
The RT question was if Merlin's and OldSchool's wish was granted and we got Cleveland at #10! You know, homers be crazy.

If they were to do this, I'd say the Noteboom plan at LT is over. In fact, I think the only position he can play is OT. Can Boom be a RT?

Unlike @BonifayRam I think we've seen enough of Noteboom. I think the Rams had too.

Bleak? I call it pathetic. I had high hopes for Noteboom, but he hasn't shown anything to keep me dreaming. The only other player in that draft that I was excited about was Obo. This is what you get when n your GM 's head is actually bigger than his talent, or in other words when he thinks he can trade back and find quality starters. I really don't understand what Snead has been thinking. I do get the part about trading picks for proven talent, but the trading back just seems like he thinks that he's the smartest guy in the room. This 2018 draft is complete garbage. Stop trying to be Bill Belichick Les!! Sit tight and do like most other the do and pick the best player available at a position of need.

I don't believe trading to ten is possible unless they included a very good player. I also don't think it's worth doing for Ezra Cleveland, who doesn't look like a top ten pick to me.

I also wonder why the media is totally convinced that the Rams want zone Olineman. Evans and Edwards are not the typical zone lineman. The Rams didn't run the zone scheme that much last year. It seems that they are picking guys to either run more of a power scheme or guys who can do both.

First off this has got to be a misprint. I have NEVER seen Cleveland that high in any single mock the majority of mocks he is in the second round. Why would the Rams bet the farm even if they had the ammo to get to #10 to take a 2nd Tackle after at least 4 went off the board I don't get it. Maybe if Wirfs or Becton is still there maybe.

I would only trade into the first round (end of the first) for Kenneth Murray he is a big run stuffing rangy linebacker who instantly makes D better and solidifies the ILB position for years and that trade is obtainable ONLY if he falls several spots I gave seen him as high as 17 low as 30.
