I just hate when people give Snead all the credit for the good picks and blame Fisher for all the bad ones.
Quick was a Snead pick. He identified Quick as a guy he wanted before the Rams hired him as GM. That alone sullies his second round record.
When you have had 5 years of drafts and multiple picks to produce a 4-12 team, then there is plenty of blame to go around.I don't understand the desire to place blame when we don't know the dynamics of the draft room.
What if Fish told Snead and the scouts to prioritize raw athletic ability and high upside so his amazing staff could coach them up? It starts with how they stack the board and that directive comes from the one with the juice. I do notice that multiple times Les has gone out of his way to applaud McVay and his staff's ability to communicate what they want to the scouting dept.
Not making excuses for Les either. Not gonna give him credit for anything when he wasn't the guy. It's just too hard to figure all that stuff out from where we're sitting. What I am going to do is go forward with a clean slate and say this is Les Snead 1.0 Draft effort.
"No Maybe about it!!"I think alot has to do with the lack of coaching. For me, I think the Rams have had a pretty decent roster, I have said for the past 2 years they should be contending for a playoff spot. I am personally unsure on Snead, my gut tells me he has done a pretty good job of drafting but the coaching has been so bad with Fisher its hard to give a real grade on Snead. Now if this team does another 4-12 the next two years, then maybe I reevaluate my opinion.
So your telling me Fisher organized the RG3 trade by himself and all the other plethora of trades we made to give us more picks. That is solely Sneads job.So if that all falls on Fisher, what was Snead' responsibility? He gets all the credit for the IR3 trade, and none of the blame for the roster??? I swear there is an unhealthy love for Snead on here. Must me the hair....
