I wonder if we'll play the Steelers in the first three games?Prime Time with possibly fortuitous news for the Rams:
The NFL has suspended Le’Veon Bell for three games without pay for violating its substance-abuse policy, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
The NFL burns tapes and everything else, thus hypocrits.Well thats a crime there, hence his arrest and subsequent punishment.
And how are they hypocrites?
Uhhh, I would DEFINITELY be fired if I got a DUI outside of work. Considering I drive for a living, that doesn't look good on them. The NFL burns tapes and everything else, thus hypocrits.
All goes back to my premise that your should not able to punish you for something you do outside of work. How would like to walk into work tomorrow and find out you've been fired cause you got a dui last week?

Victor Butler suspended four games for PED violation

Under the best of circumstances, linebacker Victor Butler was going to have to perform well in offseason and training camp work to land a spot on the Giants’ 53-man roster come September.
The circumstances won’t be ideal for Butler, however, after he was suspended by the NFL. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Butler has been suspended four games for a violation of the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Butler signed a future contract with the Giants after the end of last season, which saw him spend time with the Cardinals and Colts and play in two games for Indianapolis. A Cowboys fourth-round pick in 2009, Butler played 63 games in Dallas before signing with the Saints as a free agent before the 2013 season. A torn ACL ended his year before it started, however, and Butler hasn’t been able to latch onto a regular role since the injury.
This suspension won’t help his chances of doing so with the Giants, who signed J.T. Thomas and Jonathan Casillas as free agents to go with Jon Beason, Jameel McClain,Devon Kennard and Mark Herzlich at linebacker.
Again total BS, it is actually legal in some states yet the NFL has to act holier then thou. Total hypocrits.
The guy may be an ass, but ridiculous laws like this in a nation that calls itself freedom loving is a mockery.
Marijuana is not some physical enhancement drug like steroids, etc., but I do understand that with the confusion of current law, an employer should feel entitled to ban it from the workplace for safety & liability reasons, much like alcohol and other legal pharmaceuticals. If you take another look at my OP, you will see I wasn't referring to the NFL, but is really aimed at federal and state laws governing pot use.You know what? It's against the law now. The NFL - their employer - doesn't want marijuana in their league. Like Legatron said, if they were smart, they'd wait, get millions, and then blow it all on weed. But they aren't...and that's why they're suspended. Could be worse. Blount's had multiple citations already.

A free agent offensive lineman with a good deal of NFL starting experience will reportedly miss the first four games of the 2015 season.
Eben Britton, who played 10 games for Chicago in 2014, has received a four-game ban from the NFL, Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange reports.
The policy under which Britton was suspended was not specified in the report.
The 28-year-old Britton has appeared in 60 games in six NFL seasons, making 34 starts. He played his first four seasons with Jacksonville (2009-2012) before moving on to Chicago for two seasons. He has experience at tackle and guard.

Report: Dion Jordan to be suspended for the 2015 season
Posted by Mike Wilkening on April 28, 2015

One of the top picks in the 2013 NFL Draft will miss the entire upcoming season.
Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan, the No. 3 overall selection two years ago, will be suspended for the 2015 regular season after a positive substance-abuse test, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday.
According to Schefter, Jordan’s positive test stems from a diluted test sample, and he is not appealing the ban. The defensive end served a four-game suspension in 2014 for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
Furthermore, ESPN reports the latest positive test has scuttled a potential trade between the Dolphins and Eagles for Jordan, who played collegiately at Oregon under now-Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly.
The 25-year-old Jordan hasn’t had much of an impact in his first two NFL seasons, notching just three sacks in 26 regular season games. And now, he has suffered a significant setback.
