Marvin Jones on NFL Network all I can say is wow! He was stuttering and almost seemed like the rams were definitely there if not a done deal.
I don't know but even Mrob was kind of convinced. If you guys saw it please give your opinion. If you haven't then try and catch it.
I still feel one of our two receivers could be gone. Even if you sign Jones for 10-11 and trade kupp it's still a chunk of savings with can and woods .. if you sign him in the neighborhood of 9-10 that's still significant savings. You can get 2 players for the price of 1 in this year's free agency.
The Marvin Jones interview definitely seemed positive or negative depending on what your perspective is.
I'm still looking for the video.

I don't have twitter. I'm still scouting all over the internet for it. Haha.

I just looked on twitter even tried googling. NFL network website seems to have every interview but that one lol.

Idk isn't Jones an UFA?

I'd imagine with so many players being cut, we will try to stick to those guys so we can get the max number of comp picks next year

Prediction:

JJ, Floyd, Everett and Reynolds gone

Move Rams fans will cringe at: re-sign everyone else - Blythe and Ebukam will make people sick

Rams will be inactive other than that for several days and many will be frustrated

Thanks for finding it. I just admit. I got the same and different vibe as you. When he mentioned "this QB went here" and how I can go there and be an asset, it felt very Ramsish. But after that, it felt like a wide open vibe.

I can see that. Mrobs final comment was odd though. Could go either way but Jones definitely didn't keep it as down the middle as a typical free agent to me. By no means do I think it's a done deal but did seem different.

Maybe all this waiting has me going bonkers!!!! lol

He definitely seemed fidgety and smiley like something was up.. I'll give you that! I watched a short bit of another interview and he seemed more relaxed then. So maybe you're onto something, like he's talking about something that's already a done deal and he has to hide it.

My thought process has always been the same ..if they sign him then one of our two receivers traded for a pick or another player of need. ....as much as I want to keep them both with Van and sign Ross....should they take that route it's quite possible it's like a 3 for 1 with or at least a 2 for 1 depending on...if Jones signed for cheaper and you acquire a player a very good pick plus use the cap savings on another player it's something that makes you think if one is getting creative. It's really all contingent on the amount of money Jones is willing to take but for sure if it's nicely discounted it can be a 3 for 1 essentially.

He may wanna take a discount to come back home, play with STAFFORD again and play for McVay and win a championship!

I am leaning towards an I hope so because of the possibility of turning 2 or 3 from 1 bit breaks my heart to think of trees or coop being traded. Let the chips fall where they may.

Couldn't find a draft thread but this seems like a foregone conclusion unless a team take him in the first.

Met with him twice now and his oline coach. One of draft twitters favourites.

Would love to draft him at 57 if he's there. But the way he's been rising up everyone's boards, the word now is possibly a late 1st to early 2nd round pick. Doubt he makes it to 57. Some teams have him as the #1 C on their board. Fingers crossed he falls but if I was a betting man I doubt it.

I could see him be a highly rated Guard possibly moving to Center. Its an easier transition from such a small school. I hope you are wrong. He's my biggest crush.

Free agency starts tomorrow. I am curious what you all think. List 1 foregone conclusion and at least 1 underrated move you might see the Rams take. Pipe dreams are allowed. The more realistic the better.

Foregone conclusion- Everett and Johnson are signed away immediately.

Underrated signing everyone will hate at first( similar to Woods signing years ago) WR John Ross on a 2 year deal.

Surprise cuts or trades- Jake Mcquaid cut and Brockers traded for a 5th
Bonus- Blythe is extended in the 5 million range but are starting center is on our roster, not named Blythe

I hope the starting center is not on the roster. That likely would be Shelton or Allen. ouchers.

Prediction:

JJ, Floyd, Everett and Reynolds gone

Move Rams fans will cringe at: re-sign everyone else - Blythe and Ebukam will make people sick

Samson really came around in the second half. He should be cheap and he's good in rotation.

Samson had a solid second half. I still hear reports that Obo is highly regarded as a developing Edge. I loved the pick and wish he stayed healthy, but if he develops it will be just in time for his contract to expire.

Prediction: The Rams big free agents all move on. Floyd's agent doesn't let him take the Rams offer thinking he's going to sign a huge deal elsewhere. The Rams sign Okwara or Dunlap or a similar FA.

The Rams sign a mid level middle linebacker at Morris' urging.

They trade Brokers for a third and resign Foxy

They put a first round tender on DWill and take a first round pick for him because they can't afford to match the offer. He goes to the Chiefs. (They use that pick to trade back in the draft then get an extra second and third.) Big loss but turning a guy who cost them nothing into a first round pick is seen as a developmental win.

The Rams are planning on bringing Blythe back cheap, but Seattle swoops in with a crazy deal because they want him to help with the transition to their new 'McVay offense'. We watch AD torture Blythe for the next three years every time the Rams play the Seahawks.

That is what you call a football dream that would make you cum in your sleep.
