I just about lost my crap when Al Michaels told me that he had good coverage...total bullcrap. He hit Reynolds in the back before, long before the ball got there. And while he was hitting him, he grabbed him too.

If that play happens in the 3rd quarter with a crew that isn't Vinobitch's, I guarantee we get the call there. He clearly hit him well before the ball got there.

If a WR is leaping with outstretched arms going after a pass and the fucking ball is well out of reach that IS NOT a well thrown, or perfectly thrown, or catchable ball.

It's an overthrown ball.

Only because it went to Reynolds. If it went to a receiver who goes after the ball it's a td.

Edit- haha, leaping.

Reynolds needed to get his head around faster to adjust and leap . Jeffery would've ate it for lunch

There it is. A multitude of wrs would have gone up and made the catch.

Throwing to Reynolds is like throwing to Brian quick. It's a lottery. Effort wise, technique wise and wr smarts wise. You never know which result you're gonna get.

.

So many of you thought that was a good pass I seen the play enough the ball was too high period it was not a good pass.

Also we need to stop throwing to Reynolds in crunch time. Goff threw in the corner of the end zone multiple times with zero success. We have 2 1000 yard clutch receivers and a clutch running back. Stupid call I could care less about his height. I have tons more faith in Woods or Cooks or Gurley than Reynolds or our TEs.

Gotta disagree. Reynolds is 6'3" with a 37" vertical. Goff put the ball where only Reynolds could make a play on it. Any lower and the DB in (illegal) tight coverage knocks it down.

Reynolds has to make that play. His feet barely left the ground. He just didn't high point it well.

At that point the ball is past him. It was even higher out of his reach than it looks in the picture.

It was a bad pass.

And saying his feet barely left the ground is not accurate.

And saying only he could get the ball is also not accurate. NOBODY in the pic is getting the ball.

If it was two feet lower and in a better spot then maybe.

But that ball isn't getting caught by anyone. ANYONE.

Watch the video from the front angle. It was overthrown.

The fucking DB's hands are THREE feet away from the ball. He let his hands down and walked off of the play OK.

It was a bad throw, Goff was not having a great night again.

This conversation is stupid and a waste of time.

It was too high to get to. Period.

Looked a little high in real time. With slow motion replay Reynolds looked planted with a terrible vertical leap. Not sure how much the defender impeded his movement deeper into the end zone or ability to leap up for the ball - but I think it shows the limitations of Reynolds as a receiver. He is just not a high point aggressive receiver.

Based on the video evidence, Goff did a good job of putting the ball where only Reynolds had a shot at it and Reynolds failed to high point it. That's it. You're trying to refute video evidence with your own personal opinion and you're wrong. Period. It's okay buddy, life goes on.

Lol what about the two missed touchdown throws that’s what needs to be discussed over a damn 50/50 ball. If we score a touchdown on that play to Everett or Gurley we only need a FG to tie and win it in overtime. People wanna nitpick at 1 play like that’s the reason we lost come on. This game was lost on multiple levels.

What about them? This thread is about the last play.

Let's hope @LesBaker never works in the construction industry. There'll be some wobbly looking structures with his measurement abilities.

Things happen on plays. We just needed that 16 seconds that Gurley burned by not going out of bounds. It would've given us time for a couple more plays.
Gurley.....Everett on the same drive.....Everett on the scoring drive before could have gone out of bounds and saved 25 seconds.
The whole game was a cluster F.

It needed more loft.. was too much of a line drive that Reynolds couldn't get set to jump - he got bumped some also. There were a lot of things that could have been better on that play (Reynolds is easily re-routed on jump balls). but when you have one last play from twenty yards out its going to be difficult. The entire defense can just sit in the endzone.

That being said if Natson doesn't drop the ball I think we are going for the win or in overtime.

Lmao because those plays where far more important then the last play. So many people are acting like the last play made us loose. That’s what.

Agreed, you either have it or you don't and he's inconsistent at best.

I could have out jumped Reynolds on that play. If you think that’s even remotely close to an effort, you’re still living in the Fisherball days. Period.

Remember the fake punt pass to Reynolds earlier in the season. He looked absolutely lost in locating the ball and putting forth any kind of effort on high pointing the ball. It appears this is not something he is able to do.
