Great deal! Parkinson comes off the books after this season for almost that exact cap hit, I believe. I doubt they bring him back.
I wouldn't be so sure. he has been getting the lions share of the reps, is just now settling in and has 1 more year on the contract. If anything they might extend to lower his cap hit next year. Just a guess.

Through the next two seasons.. the Rams will have Landman/Speights with Dolac for depth. Some stability in the unit for a couple of years sounds nice.
And Troy Reeder! ... Don't forget Reeder!!! ... DON'T YOU DARE!! ... I am convinced Reeder will always be with us.

They would have to release Parkinson, which they will probably do.
Carries a $9M cap hit but the Rams would save $7M if they release Parkinson; and take $2M in Dead-$.

Similar numbers and expectation with Darious Williams ... $8.7M cap hit but $7.5M savings, with $1.2M Dead-$ should he be released.

Contracts can also be re-worked.

Higbee comes off the books. Parkinson has another year and he's moved into TE1. Doubt he's going anywhere.
The contracts of both Higbee and Havenstein do expire but they will still be on-the-books for $9M next year in Dead-$ from VOID-year provisions in their contracts ... Higbee is $2M and Havenstein is $7M.

With the chance that Higbee doesn’t return, I would think keeping Parkinson is in our best interest.

Stafford is having an amazing year and it’s not a stretch to think that mixing in 13 personnel may be a contributor.

Does McVay want to run 13 or is it something he’s doing out of necessity.
If the answer is he really wants to keep running it, than Parkinson may be a priority.

Those heavy fronts are giving him more time to throw.

I'd guess we go to the TE well in the draft again this year. No real chance, but how amazing would TFerg and Sadiq look out there in horns?

I don’t get to watch much college football, so I don’t anything about Sadiq.
Ferg however looks like he’s going to be a complete stud for us.
He’s athletic ability is undeniably.
He’s fun to watch.

What we can’t deny, is that Furg still has a way to go.
The same should be expected from anyone we draft next year.
Which makes Parkinson an important part of our ‘26 plans, IMO
