It’s not rest clearly.
It would be to evaluate young players.
But, I expect us to play full force.
If not then why play Bortles for example?

9-7 is very disappointing. 8-8 and a 3 game losing streak to end the season sucks a pigs d&@#.

Rest anyone that is injured. And by injured, I do not mean just feeling the bumps and bruises and minor soft tissue ailments of a long NFL season. I am talking real injuries. We are out of the playoffs. Do not put next season at risk by having a smaller injury becoming much more serious. Ramsey, for example, better not be out there. All healthy players should play. Goff would be the one exception I would be okay sitting, just because of how important the QB position is. We all remember Bradford getting injured in pre-season. Not ideal.

When McVay plays the backups and loses to the Cardinals, his reputation as a coaching genius just goes down the toilet. Maybe he should be an OC instead of a Head Coach.

that’s not going to happen. He is taking starter reps.

If so, the season's over now. Remember how long its seems that the offseaon gets when you are ready for any kind of football? Even preseason? We have chance to have a winning record by killing these palookas from Zona, but no, we're gonna hobble ourselves down to their level. 8-8, here we fucking come, and Jeff Fisher would be proud.

What a load of crap.
Exactly the report is a load of Crap !!!

Man Sometimes the knee jerk reactions out muscle reading comprehension and analysis. This is completely a speculation article. Everyone should take a step back, take a deep breath and relax. It is Christmas, for heaven's sake.

Merry Christmas all.

Merry Christmas !!

I'm on the fence now whether we will go to the game. Honestly, I'll be pissed if I see a preseason game for the last game of this season. Yeah, sprinkle in and rotate some guys, but do NOT sit the starters.

go to the game & enjoy yourself !! Goff is starting !! Mcvay wants to win, but will rest certain players, such as Ramsey !!
Gurley should start !!

What happens in the Cardinals game (except for catastrophic injury) will have ZERO effect on next year's team. The normal starters should see limited time in the next game

Training camp and preseason games is the time to see how good your roster is. This is the last game of the season, I guarantee you the starter want to play, They have the next three months off to just lift weights and stay in shape.Oh, don't forget they owe the fans, that support them, to put the best quality product on the field.

Last game at the Coliseum, too.

Well the outcome of the game does affect draft position, so there will be an effect on next years team but I see your point

the most important thing for players is stats.
The joke is people are buying in on a fake reporter !!! Jared Goff is pumped up for this last game at the The Colosseum.

my prediction against Arizona is B. Cooks will have one of his better games.

Well that's not saying much for this season. I don't know if he has not been getting open or Goff just doesn't trust him, but for whatever reason, he has not been getting the targets.

I disagree with this type of mentality.

This year's team clearly didn't show up for the Bucs, Ravens and Cowboys games - McVay holding guys out is giving up on this season, which is essentially McVay not showing up for this game. Based on these three no show games, I think it's important to get a win here. We have a core in place here and it's more about showing them how to operate than wanting to prevent injuries.

I'm taking my 75 year old Dad to the last game at the Coliseum on Sunday. He took me to my first Rams game vs. 49ers in 1975 at this venue. We went to the last game in '79 (vs. Saints), first preseason game in Anaheim in '80 (vs. Patriots) and I got engaged before the last game in Anaheim in '94 (vs. Redskins) and went by myself. As season ticket holders back then from '78-'94 we saw some classic, historic football. Dickerson's 2105; Dickerson's 248 vs Cowboys. I kicked down some good $$ for good seats for Sunday and all I want is for him and I to cheer like we did when I was a kid a few times. It might bring a tear to my eye, so I hope Sean brings it and kicks them to the curb as early and often as possible.
