I noticed a lot of the people who think the Bears will win are locked in on that 25 point 4th quarter Saturday. That is not the norm. Its more the exception. And the game still comes down to Jim's and Joe's over X's and O's.

I wonder if the Packers would give up 25 4th quarter points if they had Micah Parsons out there? Packers faded down the stretch. Lost their last 4 regular season games. 5 in a row with the playoff game. Gave up 41 points to the Ravens. 34 to the Broncos. 31 to the Bears. Seems like their defense was worn down before the playoffs.

Give the Bears credit for getting it done. But if that 4th quarter is what they hang their hats on, they might wanna re-focus.

I'm in Chicago. Right now it's being said the temp will be in the teens at kickoff. It's early in the week and subject to change.

Also on sports talk they are fearing the RAMS and hoping for the worst weather to aid the Bears.

On one show Wilbon was making the point that they've seen the RAMS give away games. Specifically to Carolina and the Falcons.
We can and will fuck them up as long as we execute our gameplan.

Yes. I was born in Los Angeles. I grew up in Hawthorne as a little kid through high school in the 60s and 70s. I then graduated from Loyola Marymount Univ. I now live in Thousand Oaks. Actually I live a half a block away from where the Rams use to practice at Cal Lutheran University. I could here them yelling calls during practice from my front door. It was so cool. This season they moved to Woodland Hills.
Hey. I was raised in Torrance and the 1967 season was the first where I "got" football. I was nine then and have followed them non stop. First live game was vs Atlanta late in the '67 season at the Coliseum. Sat in the rain vs the Vikings in that 1977 playoff game, and saw ED get his 250 yards vs Dallas at the Big A. So glad to see one of my time-period peers is aboard!

back to the game....

i hate to say this but we are probably going to be battling referee bias...

i say that because the bears are the new media darlings...

maybe the weather plays in our favor, due to a smash mouth type of game...

you know, mostly runs and field goals...

go rams

According to chatGPT Stafford is like 1-8 in games under 20 degrees. We need to pack the rock early and often. K-Dot, we need you.
I went through his game logs on PFR and couldn't find 1 that had an air temp under 20 degrees. With wind chill, I found 5 with a real feel of 20 degrees or under and he went 3-2. Hell, he threw for 520 yards vs GB in a 19 degree wind chill. Last year he beat the Jets in 14 degree real feel 19-9 and in 2018 beat the Packers 31-0 in 14 degree real feel. I'd watch chatGPT.....they might be including games in Detroit.

This is Microsoft copilot......

"How many games under 20 degrees has Matt Stafford played and what were the results?"

"Matthew Stafford has played very few games in temperatures below 20°F, and based on all available reporting, he has played only one confirmed game in that temperature range: the 2023 Rams–Jets game at 23°F—but no verified NFL record lists any Stafford game below 20°F. Cold‑weather stats are tracked at 32°F and below, not 20°F, and none of the sources show a sub‑20° kickoff in his career."

Like I said, I checked his game logs and found 6 games with an air temp 31 degrees or lower (3-3) and a total of 12 with a real feel under 32 (5-7)

Hello, everyone. I'm new here to the forum. It looks like a fun place to hang out. I began my Rams fan journey watching Roman Gabriel and Merlin Olsen in the 60s. One of my concerns is Davante Adams. Is he an asset or a liability to the passing game? Is it my imagination or does he seem to occasionally drop clutch passes in key situations more than other receivers?
Welcome to the forum!

Davante is a huge asset to the Rams and the 2 main reasons are his ability to get open and his red zone threat. We really missed him in the Falcons game getting shut out in the 1st half and I feel he'd have made a difference in that unusually slow start. Davante reminds me of having OBJ in 2021, though not as sure handed.

Davante and Lake are still getting back in game shape/speed and if they're back in true form this weekend we'll be that much better. Hopefully Dotson picks up where he left off but he may have a few early challenges getting back up to speed too.

The officiating is bad, but I'm not so sure about last game..... The Rams had some bonehead penalties last weekend.

I'm hoping the Rams stick to the passing game, especially against the Bears secondary. I don't feel playing a smash mouth football game is where the Rams are successful.

TE's
Williams out of the back field.
Bootlegs.
