Unfortunately nobody would give up a pick for Henderson tbh. There's fresh-legged RBs deep into every draft that come with cheap team control too. The position basically gets the shaft from the supply side. In fact I think if WRs continue like they have of late they'll also devalue at some point.

If I was a 5 star athlete going into college right now and could play corner that would be my choice. As all these athletes favor offense more and more the money will be at corner.

I could see Funk being odd man out, looking for work elsewhere
train
This. If one RB has to go it will be Funk. That or he’d be inactive. They don’t risk putting Williams on the practice squad if it comes down to having to put either on it.

Nothing wrong with that at all.Saying he gets hurt all the time is ok as well,

Saying he is going to get hurt is still discrediting him for making it seem like he is going to make it through as season.

@OldSchool hoping a FB is one of them ?
Don’t think Blanton or Hopkins won’t become part of that group.Especially with guess who is helping out being the RB guy ?

Blanton had that beautiful flee flicker last season in a big time moment in a game.Just an example how The Rams aren’t afraid to open things up with different looks.

I’d also say wildcat options with maybe an extra back might be used at times with Akers & HENDO ?If you go back to 2020 against Green Bay in semi champ playoff game Akers ran wildcat 6 times in the loss.
—If The Rams really wanted to make it work better they should have either add an extra TE or RB.Running Goff off the field.I don’t know how that would change the defensive look though.
-Personally though I’d have a couple plays with Perkins in more of a
T-back old days look.3 back look even with a couple TE’s or RB’s with just a QB keep(sneak type) which The Rams can get on film.Creativity vs certain defenses that gives you 2 to 3 yards.
Late in games if your ahead especially because it keeps everyone in the game as well.

Kinda scanned thread and didn't see this vid though I may have missed it.
This a Pre Draft interview ON good morning football.
Talking about how he can run entire route tree out of slot and
Being a Rams fan since ST Louis and dressing up as SJ39 on Halloween.
Little did he know at the time of the interview that the Rams would trade up to get him.

Yeah if they hit on him there's gonna be all kinds of cool storylines surrounding it. :thumbsup1:

Once again it really feels to me like the Rams made an effort to draft players this year who are ready to play, as opposed to last year which was quite long on potential. This dude can pass protect.

"We will rally around Kurt Warner and play good football".

I didn't even know who Kurt Warner was at that time. I thought it was Curt Warner, an old running back.

Well, the Rams gave up a couple of draft picks for Sony Michel so it's not entirely out of the realm. Dont want to wish injury on any team, but it does happen. Since half the coaches in the league worked under McVay, and if they were to lose their #1 RB, there could be a fit. Everyone's favorite trade partner in Detroit or Minnesota are 2 places I could see interest thrown if Swift or Cook got dinged up

My initial feelings weren't good, based on his testing.

I'm going to hope those are misguided worries and that this kid will be a baller for the Rams.

It would be really great, though, if Akers could stay healthy and productive for the season, so they could get some stability and consistency at that spot.

If the Rams were really worried about the RB position, the Browns would be a perfect trade partner. Hunt or D'Earnest Johnson would be awesome. They are both on their final year of their respective contracts.

I think this is Cam's year to show what he can do. But I agree if he gets hurt or misses significant time he's probably done in horns. Rams have to get past this injured RB shit. I get that it's a tough position to stay healthy at but our RB room just takes hit after hit after hit and we're at the point where dudes need to be replaced to stop it.

That was the prob with Funk. Approaching that problem with more depth was a good direction and I actually like his game (he was a good find late in the draft in that way) but he's just another option who isn't up when you need him to be.

If Cam can stay healthy and lead the team with a big year everything will look different for him. The reason the rules are different with Hendy is because he's not quite as good all-around as Cam and Kyren. He's more of a passing game option and I doubt the guy will ever carry any load in the NFL. I know McVay sees what he can be and all that, he loves him some pass catchy types, but he needs to decouple Hendy from that bell cow equation and that's why they drafted Kyren.
I think the size of the RBs they have is part of the injury issue. I know we can all list a lot of exceptions to this, but it is a consistent problem and the Rams seem to have a consistent type. They need to get bigger in that room. 220 range.

Was thinking the same, but as far as a bigger back.At least a H-back like even a player like Hopkins?
I don’t think the injuries are because of size though.I be curious to see how this Williams RB does. The one thing he brings is durability.

Jourdan also tweeted out, this group needs to burn some sage shaded of Howard Balzer back in St. Louis, but hopefully he's okay because Williams was supposed to be the healthy RB.

Buddy Howell, 6 ft 1 225 lb.

He did well on special teams and I would like to see him carry the ball some.
