Reminds me a little of Kareem Hunt with less kicking ability. I like it

LOVE this pick!!!
Wouldnt be surprised to see Hendo traded now. This kid is perfect compliment to Akers, and will be awesome in 3rd down sets. Really good pass pro. Knocked because he doesnt have the fancy 40 time, but is quick thru the hole

PFF BIG BOARD RANK 144
HEIGHT 5' 9"
WEIGHT 194
CLASS Jr.
AGE 21.6

Williams is undersized and not particularly athletic, but for the third-down role he'd fill, it may not be that important.

He has the best combination of pass-protecting prowess and receiving ability in the class.

Career Highlights

10 broken tackles on only 17 carries vs. Navy (2021)
91-yard TD run and 199 yards vs. North Carolina (2021)

High School – St. John Vianney
2,035 rushing yards, 725 receiving yards and 40 total touchdowns as a senior
Helped St. John Vianney to the 2018 Class 5 Missouri State Championship

Yeah first thought was hendo replacement. But i don’t think he gets traded - just next year when hendo leaves via FA. Or this year when hendo inevitably gets hurt

To me looks like an amazing pick imo. Rated the best pass blocker of all RBs in draft great pass catcher feels like a long term steal from a great program.

If he can do well in pass pro at the next level I imagine he will see more snaps than someone who hasn't learned that aspect. He doesn't seem to be afraid to take on bigger pass rushers.

Without a doubt. He gives this RB room a guy off the bench who can step right in which is very nice. I feel so much better about the RB depth now.
