I would think it's more because of the reports that whoever the new OC is, he's going to be constrained by Fisher's philosophy.

To me, that just screams perfect recipe to suck due to events beyond your control, then have your odds of getting a good job later lowered.
Naw I think it has to do with uncertainty at QB and not having Many options. Where did u read reports of oc stuck to fishers philosophy?

Saffold was destroying people while pulling last year. He's a former LT. He has the feet to play in a ZBS at OG. Greg definitely has the athleticism to pull it off.

But I do agree, I'm not sure Barks has the athleticism on the edge. But we'll cross that bridge if we get to it. :)
He looked athletic enough to me during his pregame dance

Doubt it Fisher already said there was going to be changes. Imo it's not having Qb and short list of options and more desirable jobs
You're entitled to your opinion, of course. But the lack of QB is not a confirmed thing.

That said, it's probably a little from column A and a little from column B.

I think the Rams area a great opportunity for a OC. Great defense, Great QB in Bradford, and I'm sure Fisher and Snead will improve the OL. With all that I think the Rams can be a dominating force. I know Sam has been injured but dang he is a darn good QB. Its not like we have nobody ready to start next season.

We don't Sam probably want be ready to practice until preseason. Also his health is a major red flag. Also Sam hasn't proved anything. So I don't see how we are a attractive spot for a OC. The only good I see is OC will have input in Qb search. I think we probably get one from withib

Stable organization too now, as well. I think any OC who knows he's good, and who has an eye for talent will recognize the opportunity the Rams provide.

Where I do differ from you a little is Bradford. He doesn't deserve to be called great just yet, so I will agree he has potential to be an elite QB still but needs to prove it. But definitely if you consider him along with Snead bringing in OL and some other QB options to include a pick in the first couple rounds, you can do a lot worse in terms of talent.

Rumor is that it's because his dad is being interviewed for the job as well, and he doesn't want to compete with him. He has plenty of places to go, his dad might not.
I say if that's the case shanny sr. can come hang with Fisher and they can spend long nights relving the olden days creating a game pan to exploit our NFC west division foes!

The Rams OC opening has to be one of the better kept secrets around the NFL job openings during the coaching carousel season .... I mean VERY little word about who is/might/isn't being considered.

I just saw that Kyle Shanahan turned down an opportunity to interview with the 49ers because his dad has a chance at the job.

How crazy would it be if we stumbled onto Kyle and 9ers onto Mike.

EDIT: Ha. I'm a joke. I should have checked the messages before posting this^

Reportedly being hired as OC for Dan Quinn in Atlanta. Smart move for him.
